@eliasluoto
I used to love coffee but hate caffeine.
Until I optimised caffeine use with the help of @hubermanlab.
Now I enjoy the taste of coffee AND the benefits of caffeine without any of the negative side effects.
Here's how I did it:
On death,
the game of life,
(and the Fiat 500 I'll remember for the rest of my life):
Walking to the office this morning, I was passed by a funeral procession.
The hearse in its shiny black body and fluttering flags was followed by a single grey Fiat 500, driven by a silver haired elderly man, clean shaven, suited up in his Sunday bests, and driving completely alone.
I cant properly describe the feeling that brief visual left me with, but for a moment it almost broke me in tears.
One day all of us will be forgotten. Whether our funeral will be attended by a 100 loved ones, or just that one last person who still cares, one day, we'll all move on from this life, and soon after that, our memory will fade; our legacy will be forgotten, fortune gambled away by degenerate descendants, and all that will be left is a gravestone with a name no one recognises.
Interestingly, the image of the lone Fiat touched me not because of sadness, but because in some strange way, the sadness was coupled with a feeling of hope, meaning, and beauty.
I intend to live a long, healthy, and purposeful life, but even then, remembering the impermanence of my existence brings me solace. It reminds me that whatever I do in this world will eventually be positively meaningless.
Contemplating death brings me to life. It urges me to embrace this day, this hour, this breath, not in a shallow and hedonistic way (although I'm not opposed to pleasure), but in a more fundamental way of grounding myself into what is; what *really* is.
Sooner or later (and everyone on their deathbed says it was sooner rather than later) my actions will only matter to my Soul. Embodying this realisation liberates me to live authentically. It reminds me that in the game of life, the point is not to win and walk away with something.
The game is set on Hardcore mode: When you die, all of your characters items and experiences will be permanently deleted. The point is not to get something, the point is to enjoy the game; the point is, from a more esoteric view, to entertain, not the character, but the player.
The Elias who currently sits in a cemetery and taps away on his phone is just the character (with awesome stats, I might add), and as such, he's only an illusion. Just like a videogame or D&D character, he is a bunch of thought energy, that, yes, is real relative to the game, but ultimately exists only within its confined world.
Or perhaps not. On another level, and again, I'm moving to the realm of the esoteric, our human selves are an expression of the will of our true selves, souls, higher selves, or whatever you wanna call that centre from which your consciousness emanates.
From the perspective of my spirit, my human character has significance that extends beyond the illusion of the game. The character exists, not only in the game, but also in the experience and memories of those who played.
Although soon after his death, Elias will be forgotten by the world, all of his existence gradually erased from the game, his story will matter. It will matter to the one who played the character, and to those who shared the game with him.
It's not the experience and achievements of the character that matter, but the experience, entertainment and wisdom gathered by the player. The more one plays, the better one gets in the game. Our souls are here to learn, to have fun, to grow and experience. The game of life is supposed to be fun and meaningful to our souls in the same way as videogames and tabletop roleplaying games are to us humans. Importantly, the game is only fun for the player, if there's some challenge in it!
...
So, that's what I got reminded of by that lone man in his Fiat. Go and live up your life. Embrace the uniqueness of this specific character you came here to play. Soon the game will end for you, and this character will cease to exist forever.
It's up to you to make the moments until that happens fun, memorable, and meaningful.
Gm. Here's what my spirit guides had to say about building Utopian civilizations:
"Humans are children of :
[a] the Spirit of Civilization, the sun god(s) bringing knowledge, power, and wisdom from the skies; and
[b] the spirit of Nature, the deep knowing of genetic memory, the organising principle of the planet and of all manifested Life.
In all you do, balance the best and most suitable aspects of both of these energies, and you will have your utopia. (As you know, that utopia will include the struggles and challenges necessary for growth.)
No utopia, or should we say, no paradise on Earth, is static or one-sided. Pure peace or bliss does not belong to the manifested world. Separation is the point of incarnation.
What utopia is, is the optimal conditions for growth in any given time and space.
A golden age is a time of rapid expansion built upon a solid foundation of a well-functioning society that has aligned internally with its constituents (the good of the individual is the good of society and vice versa) and externally with its environment (the good of the civilisation is the good of the environment and vice versa).
This is the essence of your purpose; to bring forth a golden age."
Make of this what you will and have a great rest of the weekend! Peace.
"[M]orphic resonance is a memory principle that underlies animal instincts, the inheritance of form, collective memory, [and] influence from the past"
@RupertSheldrake
Basically, everything has a memory. Everything, including the behaviour of inanimate matter, follows patterns of behaviour shared universally by all members of any pattern, whether that be all cats, dogs, hentai enthusiasts, or silicon crystals.
I know this will sound woo, but this is what I've learned to know intimately as the Devic realm, or in more folk terminology, the faerie or fay:
• plant spirits holding the pattern for the ideal formation of a specific type of plant,
• the spirit of a people holding the pattern of their culture and sense of being in the world.
Plato talked about this same principle as Ideas or Forms, patterns and blueprints for the ideal unfoldment of matter or concepts, e.g the Idea of a horse is more real than any physical manifestation of that idea, same for the idea of justice, etc.
I know the terminology around this principle is vague and shrouded in occult and spiritual concepts, but I 100% feel a truth behind it. Big up to Mr Sheldrake for exploring these ideas in length and with scientific vigour. Thanks to @ChrisWillx for having him on the Modern Wisdom podcast and making me think.
I'm convinced that the future will be built around these fringes of scientific knowledge, especially things related to holism and the previously woo. We but need to separate the wheat from the chaff, and be open, yet rigorous in exploring these things.
Those who position themselves early will build great things, and generate (as well as capture) massive value.
@itsdangoldfield Exactly, and evil people without money tend to be even more evil. Resentment, jealousy, and envy speak to our demons far louder than greed and disdain.
@IamProHuman Yes! Yet, I would be mindful to not push natural instincts back into the Shadow
Let them coexist with higher values by finding generative outlets for them. Man is half animal, half god. Both are divine
If we wanted to be pure light, we would not have incarnated on Earth ☯️
@NagatoDharma I 100% agree! (albeit the mountains need a sea view)
Moreover, I've begun to genuinely work on making this vision a reality. First by developing the necessary skills, then by sharing those skills, and finally, by using them to cofound a startup society for regenerative living. ☀️
@Web3Zoe@NagatoDharma I share the same dream!
I envision all of these projects will be far easier in small but highly aligned communities, i.e. villages and citadels of 5-150 people; the way humans have evolved to live.
@CryptoKaibaCorp With love, Kaiba, stop complaining.
Been following you since 2020 and you've been a genuine inspiration (although I'm down massively on $HTR and DA). When you decide who you intend to be this year, my vote goes to the old Kaiba with curiosity, excitement, and eagerness to learn🧡
@victordivalente @balajis Same. Fortunately we do already have predecessors in multinational corporations, ngo:s, and religious organisations (The catholic church even has their own centralised state with borders and a military force). The key for diplomacy is to provide value to the existing states
