Iโm very excited to have contributed to this beautiful study of the heart with Visium spatial transcriptomics and to have worked with amazing people at the @sangerinstitute.
Congratulations to @JamesCranley@kazukane and all the others for this amazing work!!
Well done to all๐๐ป
Very pleased and proud to see our work out in @Nature https://t.co/hYgp84MZOM
Also great to be at #HCA2023GM Toronto with @kazukane as it goes live! @humancellatlas
The preprint tweetorial lays out the key findings in detail, but here are the headlines...

How does the evolution of the cancer epigenome contribute to immune evasion? We investigated this in colorectal cancer, where we found that immune evasion follows a โBig Bangโ evolutionary pattern, initiated right at transformation: https://t.co/RZFhfhaLDa
Congratulations to our Professor of Dermatology and Immunology @Muzz_Haniffa and colleagues, on the publication of their pioneering paper "A prenatal skin atlas reveals immune regulation of human skin morphogenesis". ๐

Does cancer #evolution & intra-tumour heterogeneity predict long-term relapse? We tested the evolutionary paradigm in prostate cancer clinical trials with long follow-up, combining genomics with digital histopathology: https://t.co/76aiiba2eP

Researchers use intestinal organoids to investigate various aspects of gastrointestinal biology, including the study of infectious diseases, inflammation, and cancer.
Interesting? ๐
๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ฌPreparing intestinal organoid FFPE (formalin fixed-paraffin embedded) sections, stained with H&E stain and checked under the microscope at @humantechnopole
But, what are organoids?
Organoids are three-dimensional, miniaturized versions of organs grown in vitro from stem cells.
They mimic the structure and function of real organs.
In the video, these 3D structures closely resemble the cellular composition and architecture of the natural intestine.
๐Congratulations to our @Francesco_i0ri0 and @AndreaSottoriva who have been awarded two @ERC_Research Consolidator Grants for their projects on the origin and evolutions of #tumours and the development of resistance to therapies.
