@round@krkkkkkkkkkkkk Which leads to the conclusion that not many had something to forget about in the first place - exactly my conclusion after 20yrs of experience as UX professional.
A masterclass from @jeremyphoward on why AI coding tools can be a trap -- and what 45 years of programming taught him that most vibe coders will never learn.
- AI coding tools exploit gambling psychology
- The difference between typing code and software engineering
- Enterprise coding AND prompt-only vibe coding are "inhumane" i.e. disconnecting humans from understanding-building
- AI tools remove the "desirable difficulty" you need to build deep mental models.
Out on MLST now!
@emollick@alexolegimas@danielrock@joshgans@robseamans Does anyone ACTUALLY know what happens in the job market? Looks like you all live in a posh bubble somewhere in the clouds and have no idea that the jobs are already impacted and the issue of job loss ALREADY affects the lives of REAL people.
@ClaudeDevs Great, now hopefully you won't change the folder in which claude desktop on windows is installed so damn often so I won't have to ask the IT guy several times a day to allow the new path through the security checks (!). And also another design faults, but please start with this.

Superwhisper's next update might be too powerful to release publicly.
The new voice model is so fast at transcription it started finishing sentences users hadn't thought of yet...
We even put it in a sandbox and it dictated its way out.
It also identified a flaw in the English language that had gone unnoticed for 600 years. Linguists have been informed.
Out of an abundance of caution, we are withholding the update until further notice.
Sincerely,
The Superwhisper Team
@kathysyock@bcherny@ashen_one It IS an engineering problem, just not computer engineering. It's a management+financial engineering one. Gradually token cost gets lower, so you calculate on that low price to subsidize the present for market share. Altman knows this and acted accordingly.
@opencode check your desktop apps too, and fix the linux one (deb) that won't open, and windows and mac shows a white splash when opening which is really hurting my eyes. I guess its the same background shown here in the linux one. Even better, vibecode one from scratch, in rust :P
