Data brokers are now buying up SaaS data sets for anywhere from $100K to $2M
SaaS are struggling now and some extra money to fill the gap by declining revenues is nice
That data is then re-sold to AI training companies and AI frontier labs for the exact purpose of integrating whatever that SaaS did into the AI frontier lab's app
Pretty obvious to see where this is going
My dear friends, I’d like to show you my latest toy project
Introducing Handwired: turn your regular JavaScript code into a neural net!
- no training
- exact outputs vs the JS program
- fully differentiable
All runnable in a browser, without GPU

```
You asked to see if this tool made browser tests faster, cheaper, or less error-prone. It doesn't. The tool we currently use runs in ~10 seconds without consuming tokens; https://t.co/PhDZxb3VnY took between 14 and 43 seconds and consumed anywhere from 23,000 to 166,000 tokens. I’ve marked it as "do not adopt." There is nothing for you to do.
everyone is going broke due to crazy ci bills
meanwhile my startup runs our runners off my homelab for penny's
buy some ewaste
setup some runners with gh and clod
cache your env and get creative with rotating workspaces
set up hermes
is everyone just fucking stupid?
A framework is an intelligence cache.
You could waste tokens reinventing the ORM, cache, queues, auth, routing, etc, or you could just pick a world-class framework.
there’s so much confusion about what’s happening in AI because if you don’t use coding models every day it’s hard to understand how quickly progress is accelerating but if you do, you likely have AI psychosis to a degree that it’s impossible to explain it in an understandable way
The contrast between hanging up the last phone call of the day of high-stakes decisions and then a minute later walking in the door to the pure love of small children who want to laugh and play and show you every discovery they made that day is the strangest and best thing I have ever experienced in life.
How do I say this...
You don't want to use AI when you can reduce something to a deterministic solution.
What do I mean?
You don't want to use AI to fill in fields in loan documents or operating agreements.
Instead you want to use AI to build the software that does it for you. And then you don't need the AI tool again for that task.
It's a subtle difference, but a really important one.
