@echoing_erudite@InspiringPhilos Well I can definitely respect that then. I was worried it was like a “do this OR ELSE” kinda thing and seemed like a threat to me haha
@RickRational@sauce89470@InspiringPhilos Why did he create us so broken then? Why do we all have to suffer because of Adam and Eve’s choices? Sounds like a sick and twisted game. I’ll never be able to find that loving in any sort of manner
@sauce89470@RickRational@InspiringPhilos I guess it depends on what denomination you’re in but unless you’re a universalist if someone makes bad choices they’re punished for eternity
@RickRational@InspiringPhilos I can respect if god just let them live their lives and then created another set of people. I can genuinely respect that. I never said that choices don’t have consequences though. I just think it’s absurd that the option is “do this or I’ll torture you for all time”.
@RickRational@InspiringPhilos So if they chose to not have kids it’s considered disobeying god? How is it a free choice if the alternative is being horribly punished again?
@DarkSnow678 I mean what would’ve happened if Adam and Eve said “no sir we don’t want kids ever”? Would god have just punished them again? It seems more like a command than a suggestion which would mean they don’t really have a choice
@Bauflert@CapturingChrist That’s been my biggest issue my entire life with these claims. This would be the biggest thing to happen in human history. Every possible scientific mind should be able to double check this stuff.
