@BDBSoCal@ursuscamp@mkhammer Ok? Even in your story your nephew was supervised… otherwise how would you have this story?
Next time drop him off 10 minutes away.
You seem to forget that kids are fucking stupid and don’t always know there limits.
@BDBSoCal@ursuscamp@mkhammer Counter point 10 minutes is more than enough time for the kid to fall in the pond and drown and have nobody notice, let alone the parents.
@okron8@kacombs68@legalbytesmedia Congratulations, so did I, but that doesn’t mean that it’s responsible to allow a child to play unsupervised around bodies of water.
How long would it take for someone to notice if the kid drowned, as nobody was there to watch them. That’s irresponsible.
@pgmrmr@Flick00wens@ToastmanMichael@danishacarterr The burden for the state essentially shifted to proving her state of mind(because the act has been admitted to)
How are you supposed to overcome reasonable doubt when you’ve admitted to the act, and were the only one home at time of death.
@clementinetown@kacombs68@legalbytesmedia It simply isn’t reasonable to think a 5 year old being unsupervised near a body of water is safe.
Look at typical pool signs”no one under 16 unless supervised” how is a pond diff?
Putting your child at risk of unnecessary harm is routinely charged as child endangerment is it not?
@ToastmanMichael@pgmrmr@Flick00wens@danishacarterr Just because the burden shifted to the prosecutor to prove she was making decisions to kill them, doesn’t mean that the defense ran isn’t an affirmative defense.
@ToastmanMichael@pgmrmr@Flick00wens@danishacarterr An affirmative defense is any defense that admits to the act and provides new excuses, the defense has done so during trial.
So I’m sorry to tell you but that’s exactly what happened here.
@pgmrmr@Flick00wens@ToastmanMichael@danishacarterr Running an affirmative defense is admitting to the act of the crime you fucking donut. The defense has stated she killed them. The only question in the trial was did she make conscious decisions to kill her kids.
@pgmrmr@Yep_ItsMeAgain@danishacarterr When the defense is running an affirmative defense they(the state) only really has to prove criminal intent.
And the defense haven’t said that she didn’t do it, in fact the defense has stated she did it. That takes a lot off the burden(to prove) off of the state.
@fentyfemme Us being stationed in 80 countries allows those countries to spend less of their money on defense allowing them to focus on other things that we could have if not over there. This somehow makes us cruel. Yeah ok.
@fentyfemme@kitydrone@hanstitches_ Real life isn’t a utopia no country is perfect… this shouldn’t be news to you.
We sent tons of aid to the Middle East, same with Africa, and Asia places we’ve never bombed
Just because it doesn’t fit your narrative doesn’t mean it’s not true.
@fentyfemme@kitydrone@hanstitches_ It’s not perfect but it’s far better than a lot of countries. We’ve been the largest provider of aid across the world, even in countries our bombs haven’t touched.
You guys just expect it to be a utopia(this is real life honey nothing is going to be perfect).
@OsamagbeOsemwe1@zeanxe@_Samcleave Tell your government to do better and deny our aid money then.
Trust me when I say we’d much prefer our money go to us than ungrateful fucks like you.
