You are not doing the world a favor for hosting the World Cup.
You bid to host it because of the advantage that comes with hosting it.
You should not deny millions of fans the right to see their countries play the beautiful football.
If you think your national security is at risk, transfer the right to another country to do so.
Football is bigger than you, it’s everyone’s sport.
As a World Cup host, the U.S. shouldn't be flippantly barring officials from entering the country to do their jobs.
It's terribly backward.
It's also counterproductive.
Global sports competitions should improve international exchange and relations, not the reverse.
Foreign forces in proximity to our territory are at constant risk on account of their own human errors, plain accidents, or potentially being caught in crossfire.
To reduce risk, best solution is for them to leave.
We prefer language of diplomacy but speak other languages too.
@FIFAcom@FIFAWorldCup You are an embarrassment. Ignoring complaints and concerns people are voicing out. Why don’t you come out and rectify issues that are affecting countries and fans.
Statement:
"FIFA can confirm that match official Omar Abdulkadir Artan will be unable to train and officiate at the FIFA World Cup 2026 after he was denied entry into the United States. 1/3
“Everyone is complaining about the poor facilities and organization in the stadiums, training facilities, and airports, as well as the detention of players, photographers, referees, coaches, and just about everything else, and it will be the worst World Cup edition ever.”
