GMC Handwara Day 5.
Still no order from the J&K Govt. Patients are being affected, and we care deeply about them-we don’t want to see anyone suffer.

But the govt continues to remain silent and delay a genuine demand.
We don’t want to protest. We want a solution. @OfficeOfLGJandK

Day 4 of the candlelight march by GMC Handwara interns for a stipend hike.

How long will they be ignored? Authorities will have to listen.

GOD save the poor patients of J&K.

Just 32 marks out of 120.🤡

They study for years, sacrifice their youth, survive sleepless nights, handle emergencies, stand in OTs for hours and carry the burden of human lives on their shoulders, yet in Jammu & Kashmir medical interns are still being paid just 12,300 per month. That's 410 rupees per day.
At a time when many other states pay their interns almost 2-3 times more, our young doctors are expected to work endlessly with little dignity and almost no financial support.
I have raised this issue multiple times before the authorities, but unfortunately, nothing changes except hollow assurances. A healthcare system cannot become strong by exploiting the very people holding it together.
Respect doctors Respect interns. Raise the stipend.
Enough is enough.

#VIDEO || After 30-hour shifts, endless duties and years of hard work, we are surviving on Rs 12,300 a month while going through trauma every single day. We are not asking for charity — we are demanding our rights and dignity as healthcare workers,” an MBBS intern said in an emotional appeal to the Jammu and Kashmir government.
