I believe that the very purpose of life is to be happy. From the very core of our being, we desire contentment. In my own limited experience I have found that the more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own sense of well-being. Cultivating a close, warmhearted feeling for others automatically puts the mind at ease. It is the principal source of success in life.
My father was an editor and wrote editorials for a magazine. I still have all of his handwritten drafts kept all these years.
Whenever I feel low or a little lost, I find myself returning to those pages. There's something about reading his words in his own handwriting.
Even years later, they still help me find perspective. In many ways, they've been my North Star.
I've often thought about compiling all those writings into a book. Not for publication, just for myself and the family. A way to preserve a small part of him.

On the occasion of the 12th International Day of Yoga, the Archaeological Survey of India organized Yoga Day celebrations across ASI-protected monuments nationwide under the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”
