🚨NEW: Transgender Falklands War veteran "Paula Stanton" has been jailed for masturbating in front of nurses at University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.

The 62-year-old had initially been taken there by ambulance for a mental health assessment over concerns over a threat to self-harm.

Lewis Ball, prosecuting, said: “The defendant put her hands down her leggings to the groin area. Staff could see that she had her penis in her hand and that her hand was moving up and down."

Stanton has 12 previous convictions for 19 offences.

He was jailed for 12 months in August 2024 for two counts of committing an act outraging public decency.

On that occasion, whilst he still identified as a man, the defendant touched himself sexually in his flat window while wearing a black bra and white knickers under his dressing gown as women walked past.

Stanton said it turned him on and he left a “sinister” handwritten note under one victim’s car windscreen asking her to keep looking at her.

His offending last month put him in breach of a six-month suspended prison sentence imposed in August last year for exposure.

He was jailed for 100 days today for outraging public decency and a consecutive term of 60 days for being in breach of the suspended sentence.

Stanton will serve around 40 per cent of the 160-day prison sentence in custody before being released on licence.
