@SaraWahedi My grandmother would sing the same song when I was a kid. I had completely forgotten about it until I was on a roadtrip through Ireland with a friend. Saw a road sign for Tipperary and *whoosh* it all came back in an instant. Music is such a powerful tool for accessing memories.
It’s so disappointing that as the sport grows in the United States and with all these tournaments coming here the next few years, that MLS, US Soccer and the powers that be in general have decided to make access as expensive as possible, instead of making the game accessible.
Gregg Berhalter has not yet spoken to Gio Reyna since the World Cup — and has has consulted experts in mediation work to ensure the dispute with Reyna is handled “in the right way.”

BREAKING: The Spain women's football squad say in a joint statement they will not play any matches until Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales has resigned 🇪🇸
The Women’s World Cup has highlighted how many sexual abusers there are in charge of women's soccer!
Players has to be protected from sexual abuse and other forms of physical and emotional abuse! Action must be taken, abusers must be forced out! Enough is enough!
This is what the Spanish women's was used to. Imagine how much shit they had to take over the years. Enough is enough! @VeroBoquete spoke up then, 15 more regarding today's toxic leadership. When will it stop?
Luis Rubiales is vice-president of UEFA. Five days on from this incident and in the aftermath of this spectacularly aggressive and obnoxious speech, will @UEFA acknowledge any of this? Will the majority of @LaLiga clubs - including Barcelona and Real Madrid - who remain silent?
Just a reminder that while Luis Rubiales is calling his “peck” with Jenni Hermoso and consensual one, she clearly stated it wasn’t
And a reminder that the RFEF falsified quotes from Hermoso in their official statement on the matter
Spanish striker Borja Iglesias announces he will not play for the Spanish national team in support of the women's national team after Luis Rubiales refused to resign as RFEF president. 🚨
“As a footballer and as a person, I do not feel represented by what happened today… I have made the decision not to return to the National Team until things change and this type of act does not go unpunished.”
Yesterday, I asked Casey Stoney about the situation in Spain. Stoney (re: Rubiales and Jenni Hermoso) said something needs to be done. In particular, she wants to see action from FIFA and UEFA on the issue. Earlier today, FIFA announced they would be opening up disciplinary measures against Rubiales #ESP #VamosWave
This is the most important line of @RonanFarrow's Musk piece. His power comes from the state's total failure to build basic infrastructure. https://t.co/8cu3Mtacum
