@thinkdefence The question shouldn’t be is it a threat now, but in 5-10 years.
Russia has built a huge Military Industrial Complex now, they have a distrust / dislike of the west even more now following the years of war.
Those who believe the propaganda still blame NATO for the war…
@MikeDay25598564@ReviewVayu MAUD already went back to Norway before they went East of Suez. Someone else commented though that it's from the 2021 CSG, not the 2025 one.
@pinstripedline If it doesn’t cost anything/much to maintain then I’d say just keep it up. Maybe invite other credible sources to post on it from time to time.
Your content and the blog are really valuable sources of news, but if you feel like moving on then maybe that’s what you need to do
@TheJJChiles @VirtualAvi8or @Rotorfocus Exactly this! It’s not about technical ability, but general safety given pilot experience in a certain “mission”.
The Red’s do this stuff in the worst weather every year. An F-35 pilot from the UK, let alone from the US do not
@pegge49@hanisch_felix I think this is one of those things you could spend hours talking pros and cons.
But I agree having something to fill gaps would have been much nicer and smarter. Even if it is less capable.
Just need to hope the treasury don’t notice and just tell us to stick with that 😂
@pegge49@hanisch_felix Probably still T26.
The T26 fits the needs in terms of a high end ASW asset for the carriers.
Mogami falls more in line with a general purpose frigate (mind you it has a tower array so still more capable than T31).
