Power of housing societies Unity. BIG VICTORY TO PCCHSF- PIMPRI CHINCHWAD COOPERATIVE HSG. SOCIETIES FEDERATION Demand- Sachin Londhe, Vice Chairman, PCCHSF

Relocation Decision of Proposed Solid Waste Management project by PCMC in Punawale has been issued by Minister Uday Samant, Maha. Govt. during today’s ongoing Winter session in Nagpur Maharashtra Assembly.

PCCHSF & Punawale Residents has participated in Bike Rally, Ghanta Nad, Banner protests, Hunger Strike being conducted in last 3 months which was against proposed Solid Waste Management Garbage disposal project. It is their true victory.

This issue was prolonged since year 2008 and suddenly the work on this project was initiated in 2023 by PCMC administration. Population of Punawale has grown during these 15 years and it was close to 150,000. Hence, Punawale residents had to come on street against this project and conduct various ways of protests.
Punawale residents then approached PCCHSF- Sachin Londhe, all political parties. MLA Chinchwad Ashwini Jagtap, Mr. Tushar Kamthe for cancellation of this SWM project.

PCCHSF then decided to go legal and file PIL with further guidance from Advocate Satya Muley. He then issued a legal notice to PCMC against this. Response was awaited from PCMC.

Then On this demand from PCCHSF, Punawalekars, MLA- Chinchwad constituency has put forth a cancellation request to CM, Maharashtra. To which Minister Uday Samant has responded positively and cancelled the Punawale SWM project. It was live telecasted on Maharashtra Vidhansabha Youtube channel.

Real Credit of all past protests agaisnt this SWM goes to local Punawale residents, PCCHSF- Sachin Londhe, PCCHSF- Arun Deshmukh, MLA Ashwini Lakshman Jagtap, Advocate Satya Muley and all involved behind this success.
