@RRHaywood I had to put a post on here. I stumbled across Extracted a few months ago, and since September I have been demolishing your books. You just absolutely blew my mind with the ending of Delio phase 2. Thank you fellow Islander, can't wait for the next one.
@PolitlcsUK Your headline is misleading. Yes, the PSR is being shuttered, but its operations will be taken over by the FCA, so it's not like firms can now continue without oversight.
@GarfieldUtd@PolitlcsUK The headline is misleading, it's being merged with the FCA. So yes, it's being disbanded, but its responsibilities are being passed to another regulator.

@trussliz@JDVance There's a strong element of projection in this tweet. Warning of an Orwellian future while actively supporting the regime that is currently turning it into reality. I'm waiting for the day when Musk refers to himself as big brother because he cares about the US population so much
@elonmusk Sorry so you're expecting a sovereign nation invaded by an outside aggressor to just roll over and accept defeat to stop the fighting? That's literally capitulation, and look how well that worked before ww2. Give an inch and they'll take a mile.
@elonmusk Honestly, I can't decide if this is wilfully incorrect or rage bait.
The BBC is funded by citizens paying a TV licence. That is mandated by legislation but the funding bypasses the government (much to the chagrin of those who don't watch the BBC.
It's totally independent
@TheRedImperium@johnjoe Honestly, watching from the UK and waiting for the same thing. Markets are falling globally, trade with the US is being threatened, but the dollar is getting stronger? It feels like the shorts market in 2008. It should have started to fall already but hasn't.
@acceler8future@PolitlcsUK@FT Tell you what, Elon can even have a say on social media. The objection is throwing cash around to buy governments and influence.
@acceler8future@PolitlcsUK@FT I'm not a billionaire prepared to drop millions on a particular party to ensure they have the resources to cover the media with extreme right wing rhetoric, essentially buying a place in the government.
@karlrgibson1@fesshole I would correct "move south" to "proximity to London". The south coast and westward down to Cornwall is generally pretty friendly.
@REBBrain @gary_killington @twlldun Well *he* won't have the tax bill, his relatives will. And realistically, someone with that much in a pension has already set their family up for life already. I'm sure they'll cope with the remaining funds
