Whence come rudeness, pride and disdainful language towards brethren? Whence come quarrels, insults and reproaches? Come they not from this, that every one carries his love of himself and his regard to his own interests, to excess. -John Calvin and William Pringle
Jesus never called us to follow our desires. He called us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him.
Sexuality was never meant to define us or direct our lives. Christ does. When Jesus is Lord, even our sexuality is surrendered to Him, and that’s where we find true freedom.

How worship works:
When you treasure God’s will, you trust God’s wisdom and take up God’s ways.
When you treasure your will, you trust your wisdom and take up your ways.
Therefore, repentance requires:
Reorienting your heart, so that you treasure God’s will instead of your own
Renewing your mind, so that you trust God’s wisdom instead of your own
Reforming your behavior, so that you take up God’s ways instead of your own
Christians have no reason to fear honest study of creation or to wave off a finding because it came from outside the church. I am not anti-science. I am anti-uncritical science. - @StatlerMatthew
The distinction is subtle, the compromises are small shifts and fractures, but over time, you can really see the shift from a biblical worldview to a secular one. They begin to see God through a trauma lens, or an attachment lens, rather than a biblical lens. @StatlerMatthew
Augustine on tongues.
"Therefore, since also now he [the Holy Spirit] is received, someone might ask, Why does no one speak in the languages of all nations?
Because now the Church herself speaks in the languages of all nations. Before the Church was in one nation, when it was speaking in the languages of all.
By speaking in the languages of all it signified the future, that, by growing through the nations, it might speak in the languages of all."
- Augustine, Tractate on John 32.2.
When all the people of Israel saw the fire come down and the glory of the LORD on the temple, they bowed down with their faces to the ground on the pavement and worshiped and gave thanks to the LORD, saying, "For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever." (2 Chron. 7:3)
The Bible is explicitly clear on these things even though they are controversial.
1. You can lose your salvation. (Hebrews 6:4-6)
2. Faith alone is unbiblical. (James 2:24)
3. Salvation is for those that obey (Hebrews 5:9)
Saying otherwise is denying God’s word.
@YahwehGraced@BrysonGray Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
And he said, “O Yahweh, the God of Israel, there is no god like You in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and lovingkindness to Your slaves who walk before You with all their heart. 2 Chron 6:14
