To honor Somaliland’s Independence Day, I’m glad to have met H.E. President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro), a leader who listens to his people. Wishing Somaliland continued peace, progress, and prosperity, and celebrating the strong ties between Somaliland and the UAE.
Happy 18th of May #Somaliland
Economic shifts and global uncertainties will test us, but history proves our greatest strengths emerge under pressure. We must never get comfortable. When times are good, we must push harder; when times are tough, we must refuse to quit.
In the UAE, we proudly celebrate the 18th of May, Somaliland National Day!
As UAE–Somaliland ties continue to grow stronger, recognition feels closer than ever. And I mean any second now! History has a beautiful way of honoring resilience. Happy National Day to the people of Somaliland 🙏🏻
كل عام و #صوماليلاند وشعبها بألف خير
Sanad wanaagsan, #Somaliland iyo shacabkeeda qiimaha badan
Happy anniversary to #Somaliland and its people. Wishing them all the best
Yemen was an independent kingdom that was not colonized and it was ruled by Imam Yahya bin Muhammad Hamid except for Aden region which was colonized by the United Kingdom
The Government of the Republic of Somaliland condemns in the strongest terms the recent Iranian strikes targeting the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The Republic of Somaliland stands in full solidarity with Arab Gulf countries and rejects this unprovoked aggression, which threatens regional peace and stability.
Somaliland existed before any recognition from any country btw :)
They did not need to beg and wait for recognition, they built themselves from the ground up and opportunities showed up at their door. I suggest failing states start doing the same instead of aligning themselves with terrorism.
