@SariArhoHavren Not entirely true. Depending on destination and weather, Finnair uses the narrow Georgia-Azerbaijan corridor as other Western Europe airlines do
@nytimes@StarboardIntel @Topol_MSS27 @CeciliaSykala@giammaiot2 One final observation. Note the white dots appearing east of 125°E in January. They are deployed fishing nets with AIS. They also appear within the red clusters, inflated the visual and signal density.
Why the recent @nytimes@StarboardIntel
report on "abnormal" Chinese fishing vessel formations in the East China Sea is analytically weak and how its data visualization risks misleading interpretation. https://t.co/SWFkHeNtOV A methodological note:
@nytimes@StarboardIntel @Topol_MSS27 @CeciliaSykala@giammaiot2 What about the southern clusterings? They are targeting hairtail, but also in-season swimming crabs and yellow croakers in other zones. They remain north of ~27–28°N to avoid Taiwanese waters. Distinct fisheries systems from Zhoushan, but with similarly random dispersion.
@Topol_MSS27 Thanks for this update. I've been waiting for evidence like this to corroborate my theory (seasonal hairtail fishing (Trichiurus lepturus)). The initial mapping is misleading with disproportionately gigantic dots to fill in the space. will update my version tmr.
I’ve given a talk on this unique, intriguing religious organization and the development of Buddhism in Madagascar last week at the University of Cambridge https://t.co/P8gjMYHuAp
On October 23rd, Pope Francis welcomed and blessed the Sangha group led by Abbot Shi Wule from Xizu Temple, Madagascar. Three keywords here: Buddhism, Vatican, Africa.
