Spotted this Terek Sandpiper at Cairns Esplanade in September and just received results from the scheme. This was the first sighting of green 'DKU' since it was ringed six months ago 1216km further south at Maaroom (QLD). Incredible stuff! 😄🇦🇺

Just about back to normal after the trip of a lifetime to Australia. So much seen, my lil brain was overwhelmed on a daily basis. Southern Cassowary, Sooty (Lesser) Owl, Wandering Albatross and Regent Honeyeater. All incredible birds, all for different reasons!
