@RupretS @psychjournlclub @ElshadKarbasi they don't need it, but it's a far superior measure of commitment to specialty, transferable skills and academic prowess than "Should obviously better option be the way we do things? And audit of the bleeding obvious"
@VirtueOfNothing@InfamousGasman@bnkboi Yep - if I were giving a talk at a nursing conference I wouldn't refer to myself as "doctor" there in an effort to pretend I have a relevant PhD.
@chriscraigCCC@Anongas33 yep - if you are the only one in the room with a medical degree, are you now suddenly their supervisor and have to eat the risk?
@jess777j0@theashrb Absolutely - an American system where medics are in huge debt to start with but will be earning big bucks soon after. Right now we're just in huge debt. Hope no one misses the NHS once it's gone!
@jess777j0@theashrb Excellent, yes please bring on a free market for healthcare where I can actually charge what my services are worth. Most people don't understand the cost of healthcare and they are in for a nasty shock when the NHS finally crumbles.
@2230Josh@DrJoFranklin@dirtybird12345 They have voluntary registration with the GMC and NO defined scope of practise since they first came into being 20+ years ago.
@therealistmeg21@cablecord2@thedailybeast Quick everyone stop being mean to that Nazi who has made life actively worse for the most vulnerable, Meg has a "feeling".
@TomStocks1982 Can you imagine if a qualified doctor pretended to be from another specialty let alone completely obscure what their role was - they were be referred to the GMC and rightly so. Why are these cowboys allowed to run amok? Unprofessional and arrogant.
