The Palestinian position is purposefully ambivalent but at the same time all roads lead to the same goal.
One one side there is the demand for the establishment of the Palestinian State within the pre 1967 borders of Jerusalem, West Bank and Gaza. This demand is inexorably tied to a right of return to Israel proper for millions for descendants of Palestinians refugees. The goal is to establish a adjacent hostile state with indefensible borders and the removal of the Jewish presence from the old city, as it was from 1948-1967. Simultaneously, the right of return is designed to challenge the Jewish demographic majority in Israel until it can be brought down from both the inside and the outside.
On the other side is the belief that a Jewish state in Palestine is an inherently criminal endeavor based on theft and colonialism. The illegitimacy of Israel means that it has no right of self defense. It also means that attacks on Israel can not be illegal or immoral because oppressed, indigenous people have limitless rights to resist. The plan is to provoke Israel into responding to intolerable levels of violent harassment while accepting vastly asymmetrical losses as a form of propaganda warfare. The goal is to sway international opinion sufficiently to isolate and sanction Israel out of existence, eventually creating a single Palestinian state with a Jewish minority that can be easily subjugated.
Just one man's take on things...
You mean a ration card?
The market sets prices. Price ceilings cause shortages as low prices stimulate demand that outstrips supply. Rationing is the usual solution. You will have to police the store employees who will be incentivized to use their store access to buy out underpriced goods to feed a black market.
@VerminusM Absolutely. Morocco is an ancient civilization of black and brown Africans. The Spanish are not indigenous to Africa. The only way for Ceuta to be Spanish is for the colonizers to have ethnically cleansed the native population.
Spaniards are not native to Africa. Ceuta is an ethnically cleansed territory that rightfully belongs to the indigenous black and brown communities of northern Africa. From the frontier to the sea must be free.
Capitalism is a self organizing system that works when everyone pursues their own interests.
Everyone pursues their own interests regardless of the system they live under.
Socialism can't work unless people don't pursue their own interests.
Socialism must force people not to pursue their own interests.
Those who run the socialist economy are still free to pursue their own interests.
Now you've got a subjugated population living in squalor and an elite who prosper.
Congratulations on your better world.
@arthurwatkins Except the conviction is for a crime against the public order, not against an individual. Essentially, saying the word offends the state.
Amazon has grown so much, it makes up more than 3% of the US stock market. That growth translates directly into wealth and security for workers and pensioners. For example, Amazon is nearly 1% of the CALPERS portfolio. Meanwhile, Amazon is selling eggs for $2.29 a dozen and milk for $2.87 a gallon. Envy is your currency. No matter how rich he gets. Jeff Bezos isn't stealing from you or anyone else.
@FranceskAlbs The ICC has not authority in the United States. The ICC has no authority over non signatories. The Mayor of NYC has no role in the foreign policy of the United States.
@FLCons Say nothing. Always err on the side of the kids owning the place. The world needs children and we shouldn't make it difficult or embarrassing to have them.
Ro Khanna is a legislator representing a tiny sliver of California. His role in crafting us foreign policy is fleetingly small. He went to one of the most disputed places on earth looking for drama which he created himself. The purpose of his trip, to drum up support from Jew haters using Israel as a surrogate, was fulfilled. He is building anti- Israel bona fides in preparation for a contentious Democratic presidential primary.
