I built Inkwell Haven because I couldn’t stop creating problems that didn’t exist at 2 AM.
Not to be a founder. Because I was exhausted.
If your brain does this, you’re not broken—you’re an overthinker. Built this for us.

A year ago I was googling "how to stop thinking so much at night"
Today I'm building the app I wish existed then.
Wild how pain has a way of becoming purpose.
If you've ever:
— apologized for something you didn't do yet
— replayed a 3-year-old conversation
— imagined 7 ways a normal text could go wrong
You're an overthinker.
And you're in the right place. 🪶
"Just let it go" is the most useless advice ever given to an overthinker.
Let it go HOW exactly?
Letting go is a skill. It takes practice. It takes somewhere to put the thought first.
The hardest part of journaling for overthinkers isn't starting.
It's trusting that writing the ugly thoughts won't make them more real.
It won't. It actually does the opposite.
Built something for people whose thoughts never fully stop.
Not a productivity tool.
Not a gratitude journal.
Just a place to put the chaos — and watch it become something you understand.

Journaling advice nobody tells you:
Don't write perfectly.
Don't write structured.
Don't write for anyone.
Just dump.
The clarity comes after. Not during.
@Sleep_Horizon1 So sorry you're going through this, the guilt and overthinking when a pet goes missing is paralyzing.
When my brain spirals like this at 2 AM, I just use https://t.co/FBSBJPzSWP to dump all the unfiltered chaos out. It helps clear the noise. Praying your cat comes home safely!🙏
@AdamMGrant There's a difference between thinking more and thinking better. Overthinking isn't a quantity problem—it's a direction problem.
Moving helps, but the ultimate way to change direction is externalizing the loop somewhere it can be examined. Get it out of your head.
@naval The mind that can't be still can't be trusted to make good decisions.
But trying to force stillness without examining what's underneath is like turning down the volume without understanding the song.
You have to externalize the noise before you can find clarity.
@JamesClear Identity shift before habit shift.Winning the present moment became easier when I stopped trying to 'journal perfect pages' and just decided to be someone who dumps their brain before bed.Small word change. A completely different person showed up.
@SahilBloom The system that's worked for me: don't try to fix the thought. Just give it a home outside your head.
A 2AM brain dump does more than 10 hours of goal-setting because goal-setting never touches what's actually blocking you.
@ChrisWillx The gap between knowing and doing is almost always emotional, not informational.
Most people don't lack the roadmap they’ll bookmark this incredible list but never start. They lack a way to process why they keep sabotaging it.
Productivity world ignores this.
The best productivity hack isn’t a new app. It’s an empty piece of paper and a turned-off phone.
Deep focus over features. Reply with your thoughts.

Your notes app is full of million-dollar ideas you’re too scared to execute because of a ghost called "What will they think."
Bust the ghost.

Introverts don't have low energy. They just have a low tolerance for low-substance interactions.
It's selective filtering. RT for the quiet ones.
