Today, we closed our latest funding round with $122 billion in committed capital at an $852B post-money valuation.
The fastest way to expand AI’s benefits is to put useful intelligence in people’s hands early and let access compound globally.
This funding gives us resources to lead at scale. https://t.co/sY7YNUPSYO
🚨 CRITICAL: Active supply chain attack on axios -- one of npm's most depended-on packages.
The latest [email protected] now pulls in [email protected], a package that did not exist before today. This is a live compromise.
This is textbook supply chain installer malware. axios has 100M+ weekly downloads. Every npm install pulling the latest version is potentially compromised right now.
Socket AI analysis confirms this is malware. plain-crypto-js is an obfuscated dropper/loader that:
• Deobfuscates embedded payloads and operational strings at runtime
• Dynamically loads fs, os, and execSync to evade static analysis
• Executes decoded shell commands
• Stages and copies payload files into OS temp and Windows ProgramData directories
• Deletes and renames artifacts post-execution to destroy forensic evidence
If you use axios, pin your version immediately and audit your lockfiles. Do not upgrade.
Citadel Securities published this graph showing a strange phenomenon.
Job postings for software engineers are actually seeing a massive spike.
Classic example of the Jevons paradox. When AI makes coding cheaper, companies actually may need a lot more software engineers, not fewer.
When software is cheaper to build, companies naturally want to build a lot more of it. Businesses are now putting software into industries and tools where it was simply too expensive before.

Been thinking of the same thing too. Recently deployed an agentic data ingestion that depended on file system instead of reading from a db.
I don’t see the db layer disappearing immediately because speed/latency is till an important component of most modern web systems.
@iAmHenryMascot@nicbstme I said earlier, we are moving to Plan Reviews instead of code reviews. Plan reviews focus on system knowledge sharing and team alignment on business goals.

Spending hours reviewing your teammate's AI-generated code?
Review the plan that produced it instead.
Code is cheap now. One bad decision in the plan → hundreds of lines of wrong code.
Review the input, not just the output.
For anyone who would like to hear Mark Carney’s outstanding Davos speech in full here it is. This is what true global leadership looks like.
Canada should be immensely proud today, because they are leading the fight back when others dare not.

Vercel will be officially sponsoring https://t.co/QF7eOed81b. That's a given. We as a community and industry owe @adamwathan and team a lot. Tailwind is foundational web infrastructure at this point (it fixed CSS 😉). I've also reached out to Adam to explore how we can make this a longer-term commitment.
Today marks 28 days abduction of Christian school children kidnapped from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Minna by Fulani terrorists 💔 💔
