@MeghanEMurphy You may be aware of the history of multiple sclerosis, but to remind you, the eventual neurological signs were deemed purely psychological bc mostly women were affected. Women were institutionalized. Then, the MRI was invented. Brain lesions were found and suddenly MS was real.
@MeghanEMurphy Not knocking your observations, but women are simply much more biologically susceptible to these conditions. Being able to carry a fetus can derange your immune system to some extent. Women’s connective tissue integrity and specific hormones also both play into these conditions.
@chydorina Dr. T, do you tend to experience any post-prandial somnolence? I have been having this in a major way after large amounts of protein. Even in the absence of carbs.
All neurological and psychiatric conditions have impaired cerebral glucose metabolism in common if you look at available studies.
Cellular Ketosis is arguably an effective approach for all of them.
@hubermanlab Would be interested to hear if you have any thoughts on recent studies looking at lozenges containing probiotic strains such as S. Salivarius in the prevention of viral infections and their potential shortening of infection duration.
@CovidSafeNZ Little confused here: "the preparation of this formula used in the clinical trial contained no less than 1 billion colony-forming units (cfu)/lozenge of S. thermophilus ENT-K12"--not S. Salivarius?
@abi_dav Weird, thanks I’ve been searching for Ehlers Danlos + bubonic plague resistance and can’t seem to find anything. I’ll see what google bard is.
@marissabruner@PutAimovigOnNHS@ar_pnw That’s interesting because I was under the impression that there is an increased mortality risk. I know many worsen during/after pregnancy. But I supposed if you can sublux your hips, the obstetric dilemma might fade to an extent.
@PutAimovigOnNHS@ar_pnw Oh yeah, & don’t even get me started on excelling in sports as child only to be quickly introduced disability as a young adult. The medical profession just can’t seem to handle this kind of a progression, and yet it’s nearly a hallmark of hEDS. I read this same story repeatedly.
