Už mě ta mlha nebaví.
Po asi stopadesáté tady budeme řešit Čapí hnízdo. K tomu přibude i obvinění bývalého ministra Blažka…
Morální soudy a veřejná pohoršení. V televizi se bude řešit, kdo je větší lump. Super.
Věděli jste ale, že tenhle týden se řeší změna rozpočtových pravidel, která by umožnila vládám v příštích letech výrazně vyšší schodky — zhruba o 150 až 200 miliard ročně navíc?
Tohle teď zapadne… stejně jako další věci. Protože Čapí hnízdo.
A nebudu se ani smát reakci Andrej Babiš, ve které zase mluví o politickém procesu… Protože to není sranda. Opakovaně tahle vláda útočí na ty, kdo jim stojí v cestě: od neziskovek, přes nepohodlné lidi na úřadech až po veřejnoprávní média.
Bude to pokračovat i směrem k justici?
Nic není napořád. Napořád nebude ani tahle vláda. A je jenom na nás, jak dlouho to bude trvat — a jestli to necháme dojít tak daleko, že to všechno budeme muset znovu opravovat.

Přísný pohled, ale legitimní. Jeden ze spektra názorů, jestli je gen AI výhledově plus/mínus pro společnost. Definitivní odpověď zatím neznáme.

Why is the AI backlash growing?

Outside of coding (where there is clear value), and a handful of other domains (e.g. brainstorming), Generative AI has been a net negative for society.

GenAI has been undermining secondary and college education, opening up mass surveillance, increasing disinformation, delusions, impersonation, phishing, and other forms of cybercrime, nonconsensual deep fake porn, bias in employment and other domains, and economic disparity, drowning the world in slop and unwanted, over-leveraged environment-damaging data centers that risk causing a recession.

Simultaneously it has empowered a bunch of people who want to privatize almost all the gains while leave all the downsides to society, taking almost zero responsibility.

I don’t think we are better off than we were four years ago.

Some of this is technical (LLMs aren’t reliable), some of it is political/economic (such as the utter lack of responsible regulation). Most of this was predictable.

Almost none of it is good.

All that said, I honestly believes some future form of AI might be great. But Generative AI has hurt more than it has helped, and been managed irresponsibly.

It’s no wonder many people have had enough.

Mollick: co se týče nejpokročilejších model, z pelotonu těch západních se opět "utrhla" svatí trojice: OPenAI, Anthropic a Google. Grok od xAI (asi dočasně) ze špičky spadl, to samé evropský Mistral. U Mety ještě uvidíme. Situace v Číně je méně přehledná, ale zdá se, že Qwen, DeepSeek atd. jsou cca 7 až 9 měsíců pozadu za vedoucí trojicí.

So we now have a pretty good picture of the state of the frontier AI model makers.

US closed source models continue to lead. Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic stand well ahead of the pack, and may have signs of recursive self-improvement. xAI has fallen from frontier status for now (though promises to return shortly). Meta re-entered the space today with a not-quite-frontier closed source model, but an approach that suggests that they might be back in the race. All the other US players seem far behind.

On the Chinese model front, Alibaba (Qwen), Moonshot (Kimi), MiniMax, Xiaomi (MiMo), Deepseek, and Z (GLM) all still appear to be very much in the race, though the best Chinese models are still 7-9+ months behind released US closed source models. For some of these players, especially Xiaomi and Alibaba, their commitment to open weights appear to be slipping.

Outside of China, Mistral seems to have fallen from frontier status.

Nabízíme workshopy a školení k AI, takže jeden ze závěrů nové studie o adopci AI v USA a v Evropě by nás neměl těšit: totiž že samotná školení nejsou důležitá, podstatné je to, aby své zaměstnance školily ty firmy, které v tom své lidi podporují a povzbuzují.

Ale nás to těší, protože přesně to je zkušenost z posledních tří let intezivních workshopů a konzultací. Takže "take home message" zní: objednejte si u nás školení, ale zároveň si dobře rozmyslete, jestli jste na adopci AI připravení. Jak změnit mindset? I v tom můžeme pomoct. (Ale určitě to zvládnete i sami).

Zdá se mi, že z velkých chatbotů má dnes nejlepší generátor obrázků Grok. Není tak precizní jako Nano Banana v Gemini (zejména co se týče třeba práce s textem), ale je nesrovnatelně rychlejší, a výsledky jsou skoro stejně působivé.
