This tweet maybe unpopular but THIS is what I truly feel, and THIS is what I feel the DMK stands for.

The CMs words against our Honourable Leader - a man with 50 years of hardcore public life, the man who rebuilt #TamilNadu after a draconian 10-year ADMK rule - are outright disgusting and he must remember he occupies a high chair today before uttering such words. What he has said is demeaning the chair and the hard work of the Most respected leader in TN politics. The name @mkstalin strikes a chord with millions across TN due to his sheer hard work.

However, I strongly feel that everyone should refrain from ***using the images*** of the estranged family of @CMOTamilnadu.

The sweet little kids and the family on the whole are already going through a lot having to go through a separation of parents etc, so let them not be put through anything more,

Yes I know the tvk today does not understand “Nagareega Arasiyal” and Yes they are stooping low everyday BUT WE must stay true to our ideologies, beliefs and respect the privacy of families. They have no part in politics and deserve privacy.

At the @IndianExpress Adda, I spoke about how politics can be unforgiving. We competed fiercely with the previous DMK government in Tamil Nadu for investments - won some, lost some.

But I never heard an investor complain of being asked for money by the government. Credit where it's due: the DMK government ran a clean and professional investment process and that deserves appreciation.

We ran a simple experiment to see how Modi Bhakts react to the same tweet depending on who posts it. We copied this tweet from pro-Modi journalist @AdityaRajKaul, likely written out of frustration.

Look at the replies to his tweet: not a single Bhakt called him anti-national, Pakistani, or Islamist. At worst, a few called him “Godi media” for not going harder on the government. That’s it.

Now look at the replies to ours: We were branded Pak supporters, Islamists, anti-India, oversmart, and showered with abuse.

Same words. Different name. Radically different response.

Because for Bhakts, it’s never about the country, the people, or the soldiers. It’s about hate. And Modi keeps that hate burning. They’ll defend him at any cost.

They scream “freebies!”, mock “revdis!”, and call welfare a “burden.” But the same crowd doesn’t bat an eye when crores are handed out to corporations, loan write-offs are gifted to billionaires, and temples are built on the backs of the hungry. 16 Lakh crores NPAs written off in nine years.

Let’s be clear:
Food, dignity, and fair pay are not charity—they are justice.

In India, especially among the poor, labour is exploited, underpaid, and invisibilised. Domestic workers—mostly women—cook, clean, raise children, nurse the sick, and are treated as sub-human. The thugs who run platforms auction them for Rs. 49/hour—.That’s less than what some spend on a cup of chai. And this happens in gated apartments with marble floors, where a dogs get more daily food than the help gets respect.

NRIs who proudly refuse to hire help abroad because they can’t bear to pay minimum wagesr, return to India and treat domestic labour as a right—not a service. They want five-star cleaning for starvation wages, with moral lectures thrown in for free.

But when Kalaignar Karunanidhi introduced the Public Distribution System (PDS) and formed the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation, he wasn’t offering charity. He was breaking a centuries-old caste-class stranglehold. When rice came home free or cheap, when the woman didn’t have to beg for salt, the farmhand started lifting her head. The delta labourer began to speak up. That’s how slavery ended—not through speeches, but through full stomachs.

And now?
The Dravidian Model builds on that legacy:
Free ration, not as a sop, but as empowerment
Maternity benefits, not as PR, but as respect for life
Education, not as a favour, but as a right to dream

Universal Basic Income (UBI) isn’t a joke—it’s a necessity in a world where wealth is hoarded and wages are crushed. It gives the poorest among us the most precious thing: choice. When survival isn’t a daily crisis, people assert their rights, speak of values, build morale, and demand justice.

So no, this isn’t about free stuff. It’s about reclaiming stolen dignity.
It’s about telling the well-fed elite: If you can afford elites’ NPAs, we can afford to feed our poor.

It’s about asking the real question:
Why is the value of labour always questioned—except when it belongs to the rich?

Let’s not destroy these welfare systems.
Let’s destroy the mindset that thinks starving a worker is national service while hoarding is patriotism.

This is not politics. This is humanity with a spine.

And Tamil Nadu, with its Dravidian soul, leads the way.
