@TorontoSymphony , another pinch-me-it's-too-good-to-be-true performance -- Jonathan Crow's solo was terrific and the orchestra was having a blast in the rollicking Beethoven's 7th. Love you guys.
@jnyyz @VisionZero I avoid driving downtown but when I must, it's infuriating to wait at a green light for space on the other side, and people keep turning right on red so there is never any. I have to be the asshole and risk getting stuck in the intersection or I will never advance. #norightonred
@Fixed4Philly@Anna_Cook@pkoonce I try, seems like they always need something, can't catch everything. This over 55,000 km in all conditions, stuff is going to break. Still worth it.
@Anna_Cook@pkoonce I shouldn't tell you that I've been late due to flat tires, broken chain, broken pedals, 3 broken spokes on same wheel, wheel caught in sewer grate and taco'd, broken seat post clamp, broken freehub, broken derailleur cable.
@seanbo_uk@pkoonce My commute is 18 km each way - I'm gonna sweat. And then there's rain (& associated filth, even with fenders), and road salt. Hi-viz clothing keeps me alive. I like to be clipped in. I have heated gloves with a big external wiring harness. It all looks absurd, and I don't care.
@BrentButt So. Many. Recloses. (The arc across the phases stops and restarts several times, and then it seems like the breaker fails and has to wait for backup protection, but at least the ground current shouldn't be too bad when there is already a three-phase fault)
