தமிழ்நாட்டில் நடைபெறுவது சட்டத்தின் ஆட்சியா, சாத்தானின் ஆட்சியா?

மைதானத்தில் மாத்திரை அரைத்த அமைச்சர் மீதும், சொந்தக் கட்சி பெண் உறுப்பினரின் கூட்டுப் பாலியல் வன்கொடுமைக்குமே நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வக்கற்ற த.வெ.க. அரசு அரசியல் விமர்சனங்களுக்கு மட்டும் அலறித் துடித்துக் கைது செய்வது ஏன்?

ஆட்சியாளர்களின் சட்டத்துக்குப் புறம்பான உத்தரவுகளை எல்லாம் நிறைவேற்றி அவர்களின் மனதைக் குளிர்விப்பது காவல்துறையினரின் பணி அல்ல! சட்டப்படியும் மனசாட்சிப்படியும் செயல்படுங்கள். இல்லாவிட்டால், there will be consequences.

சமத்துவம் என்பது ஒரு நல்ல கனவு. ஆனால் நடைமுறை எதார்த்தம் அதற்கு எதிரானது. எல்லாரும் சமம்னா எவனை சுரண்டி நான் சுகமாக வாழ்வதுன்ற கேள்விக்கான பதில் முற்போக்கு மூளைக்குத் தேவையில்லாமல் இருக்கலாம். சமூகத்துக்குத் தேவை.

ஆகவே சமூகம் அந்தத் தேவையை ஏதாவது ஒருவிதத்தில் நிறைவேற்றிக்கொள்ளும். தற்குறிகள் ஏற்படுத்தப் போவது அழிவு அல்ல. அவர்கள் செய்வது ஆயிரமாண்டுகளாக இருக்கும் status quo வை நிலைநிறுத்தும் வேலை. இதனால் நானோ என் சுற்றமோ பாதிக்கப்படப்போவதே இல்லை. உண்மையில் லாபமடையப் போகிறோம். இங்கு இந்தத் தற்குறி அரசியலின் ஆபத்தைப் பேசும் பலருக்கும் அதுதான் நிலைமையாக இருக்கும்.

அபயம் என்று அலறுபவர்களைத் தான் காப்பாற்ற வேண்டும். தலைகீழாத்தான் குதிப்பேன் எனும் கோட்டைச்சாமிகளை என்ன கூந்தலுக்குக் காப்பாற்ற வேண்டும்? 🙂‍↕️

What is Dravidian ideology?

An argument is being advanced that the victory of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), led by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, spells the death of the Dravidian ideology. But what exactly is Dravidian ideology?

Can any government abolish reservation? Can a government relegate the Tamil anthem to a lesser status? Can a government give up the State's rights? Can a government openly support NEET without facing political resistance? Can a government reverse the social and land reforms implemented by successive Dravidian governments? Is a compromise on Tamil Nadu's share of Cauvery water possible?

The answer to all these questions is a resounding no.

These issues are shaped by enduring principles of social justice, federalism, State autonomy, linguistic pride and political commitment. Governments may change, parties may rise and fall, and leaders may come and go. But an ideology that has shaped public policy, political discourse and the aspirations of generations does not disappear with a change in government.

A political party should have some ideological underpinning to make drastic changes in administration and public policy. Ideology provides direction, shapes priorities, and constantly drives a party to pursue its long-term agenda, even when immediate political gains are uncertain. One may agree or disagree with a particular ideology, but it is often the ideological conviction that enables parties to undertake transformative measures.

It was the Hindutva ideology that drove the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to abrogate Article 370, which accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir. The same ideological impulse may eventually lead to the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code. Likewise, the Dravidian movement and its political successors championed social justice through reservation policies. J. Jayalalithaa expanded this commitment by implementing 69 per cent reservation in Tamil Nadu. M. Karunanidhi pursued measures such as bringing transport services under greater government control and advancing land reforms that benefited cultivators. Communist governments in various States spearheaded land redistribution and tenancy reforms.

None of these ideological projects was without shortcomings or criticism. Yet they illustrate how deeply held political convictions can shape governance and leave a lasting imprint on society.

In contrast, parties that lack a clear ideological framework often find themselves guided primarily by electoral calculations, personality cults, or short-term administrative concerns. They may win elections and form governments, but transformative policy interventions usually require a larger vision of society and a consistent set of principles to sustain them over time.

All you have to do is ask these questions yourself: What would have been the reaction of the media, கருத்துக் கந்தசாமிகள், fake progressive thinkers, Dalit activists, etc., if...

1) MKS had remained silent while crime rates rose like never before?

2) MKS had returned from Delhi without meeting Rahul?

3) MKS had cancelled a government function and attended a private function?

4) MKS had returned from Delhi without unveiling the Valluvar statue?

5) MKS had returned from Delhi without meeting the press?

6) A DMK minister had posted a reel claiming the achievements of previous governments as their own, in the most awkward way possible?

7) A DMK minister did not know that the TN government runs Volvo buses?

8) Some DMK functionaries had broken police officers' hands?

9) A DMK minister had suspended blue-collar workers on the spot and demanded an explanation letter from an archakar?

10) A DMK MLA had allotted a separate building for Dalit people under a குடிசை மாற்று வாரிய scheme?

And so on...

When TVK won, I wondered how DMK lost. But now, seeing the Vijay government's ugly and incapable governance and the clownery its MLAs and Ministers display in broad daylight, coupled with the silence that resonates so loudly across the media, I really wonder how DMK managed to win and sustain itself in such a toxic, two-sided environment.

Had ADMK won, Tamil Nadu would at least have had a chance to survive. Today, I struggle to see any hope. The catastrophe unfolding before us is beyond anything I imagined.

It's like watching someone repeatedly hit Ctrl+Z on a masterpiece written over generations by reformers, thinkers, and countless ordinary people who fought hard to move society forward.

My dear Tamil Nadu, I sincerely hope you survive this man-made disaster.

* Mandatory three-language program
* Public exams for grades 3, 5, and 8
* Entrance exam for Arts, Science, and Engineering courses, similar to NEET
* Open Tamil Nadu’s higher education seats to all of India; let anyone come and study in TN based on the entrance score.
