We see rigorous evidence synthesis of past literature as an ethical imperative. But bias adjustment is not a systemic solution. We need open education science fuelled by better primary research.

(7) Pre-register, follow reporting standards, and make the MA reproducible. (8) Bias correction should not be an afterthought. Report visibly, discuss the inherent assumptions, uncertainty, and limitations, and let it impact your conclusions. 11/12
