Your job as a leader is taking care of the people who are taking care of the people. - @simonsinek
Providing excellent care for patients is our north star but it’s the people who matter most. People should always come first. #leadershiplessons#icn2023@ICNurses @LeighChappy
At #ICNCongress Day 3 Plenary “From #women’s oppression to opportunity for all” Edna Adan Ismail explains: in 4 years she built a hospital, 40 #midwifery students graduated as #RN & became the trainers of the next generation. There are now 1000+ trained #midwives in #Somaliland.
Our @THP_hospital Nurses ❤️
Living our values of compassion, excellence and courage inside and outside of our walls.
Our community thanks you, Alison, Carla and Marie. 🫶🫶🫶
Three off duty nurses & good Samaritans stepped into action to help save a life at a salsa dance event!
When a spectator had a cardiac arrest during a salsa event, many people including our nurses Alison, Carla, & Marie thought on their feet and gave him immediate on-the-spot care.
This was what is called a “successful out of hospital cardiac arrest” where the patient was transported to the hospital and is now in recovery. Thank you to Omega Latin Dance who quickly provided the defibrillator and to everyone who helped!
We’re always so grateful for the compassionate care our nurses provide to the community inside and outside our hospital walls.
Love has no age, no limits, and is everlasting. ❤️
A bucket list item for Ron, who was a palliative care patient at THP, was to marry his girlfriend of 10 years, Paula. We had the absolute honour of hosting a heartwarming wedding for Ron and Paula here at THP. His care team rallied around them and went above and beyond to make their wedding day a beautiful and perfect one for the couple.
We created this video in memory of Ron, and his love for Paula and living life to its fullest.
THP’s people show up every day to care for patients and the community.
To thank everyone for their unwavering dedication, skill and expertise, team appreciation BBQ’s sponsored by @MapleLodgeFarms were held this week to make time to spend together and brighten everyone’s week.

37 years as a #nurse @THP_hospital and Agnes “can’t sit still”.
Still movin’ and groovin’ as nurse of the year in our Pre-Operative Assessment Clinic.
She was rushing me out so she could get to her next patient ❤️
Working in the healthcare industry and the options and stability that nursing provides inspired Daniel to pursue a career in nursing.
For him, it is a very rewarding feeling when he meets someone at their worst and is able to be a part of their healing journey.
