Geo News along with few other platforms such as ARY & Tamasha reportedly hacked by unknown people, netizens alleging Indians and Israeli hackers behind this.

News circulating online claim that transmission of Geo News was allegedly hacked, with anti-Pakistan Army content inserted during broadcast. Social media users have described it as a highly sensitive breach.

Netizens have also claimed similar disruptions involving ARY News and the Tamasha app, though no official confirmation has been issued so far by the respective platforms.

If verified, this would represent a serious cybersecurity incident affecting mainstream media infrastructure. Authorities and channel representatives are yet to release a formal statement.

The district administration imposed Section 144 across Islamabad on Sunday, declaring all gatherings unlawful after protests erupted following the reported killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in strikes allegedly launched by Israel and the United States a day earlier. District Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon announced on X that strict legal action would be taken against anyone participating in gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.

The move followed a call by Tehreek-e-Jafaria Pakistan for a protest and a planned encirclement of the US Embassy. Authorities sealed the Red Zone and deployed heavy security on all entry routes.

Footage captures massive shelling by Islamabad Police as protesters march toward the US Embassy, with scenes of chaos as tear gas is fired. In another clip, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is seen walking between protesters inside the Red Zone, surrounded by demonstrators, and holding direct talks on the ground.

Meanwhile, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas urged protesters to remain peaceful. In his first official message after the incident, Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan is equally aggrieved and appealed to the public not to take the law into their own hands and to maintain peace.

WWF Pakistan’s field assessments show that vegetation loss across the capital is linked not only to Paper Mulberry management, but also to large-scale infrastructure development in multiple locations. Areas such as Margalla Enclave Link Road, Shakarparian, and Lok Virsa vicinity have seen clearing that includes native trees, understory vegetation, and soil disturbance caused by heavy machinery.

Urban trees play a critical role in climate regulation, soil stability, and biodiversity. WWF stresses that any tree removal must follow evidence-based planning, legal compliance, and clearly defined restoration measures to ensure Islamabad’s long-term ecological balance.
