It has now been seven days since the journalist @shellykittleson, had been abducted in Baghdad. All the past years, she stood beside the syrian people and reported the from the ground.
I urge everyone to help in release her immediately without any delay.
On this day, eight years ago, at the same hours, I was in #NW#Syria, following with pain and heartbreak the shocking images of civilian children and women dying from suffocation after the Assad regime used chemical weapons against civilians in #Douma, Eastern #Ghouta.
Today I remember, with searing clarity, the agony of #Khan_Sheikhoun families suffocated to death by Assad’s toxic gas, civilians collapsing as they tried to save one another. I arrived powerless, unable even to cry out left only with grief and fury for innocent lives stolen.
A year since the fall of Assad regime, and from that day, syrians started to write their history of freedom.
Happy anniversary to all Syrians all over the world.

12 years ago, Assad’s regime unleashed sarin gas on Ghouta.
Over 1,400 children, women, families, and first responders were suffocated by the toxic sarin gas in one of the deadliest chemical massacres of our time.
We remember. We demand justice.

It has been three days since our colleague, Hamzeh, was forcibly taken while responding to an urgent UN evacuation mission in #Suwayda. Hamza was doing his duty, helping people to be safe.
We urge all parties in the #Suwayda to act with humanity and release him immediately.
My colleague, Hamzeh Al-Amareen, was kidnapped by local armed men in #Suwayda two days ago, while he was responding to an emergency evacuation call from the UN Team. We hold the factions there fully responsible for his safety and
we demand his immediate and conditional release.
