@Sonia_Lombroso @kczar432 @WimmerLab @PierceNeuro@UPenn_SongMing@AllisonMBond @GarciaLabMS Huge huge congrats. This is really a tour de force in linking epigenetics to transcription and splicing all the way to behavioral phenotype. Just 🤯!
@izmapf@pennbioeng@PennMedicine Oh man, I remember you presenting this idea in ~2015?! And when so many of us were bouncing around from project to project just trying to make something (anything?) work, you stuck with this and just kept making it better and better. Huge congratulations!

@GarciaLabMS @pennbgs@PennEpiInst Woo! Thank you for all the support! Hard to believe I'm not in the lab anymore. And man, that picture just keeps popping up. I thought what happened at the retreat stayed at the retreat! 😑😬😅
@JohnRYatesIII Loved this book. Another example is "The Man who Loved Only Numbers," a biography of Paul Erdös. He would come across an interesting paper and just show up at the author's door a few days later, and basically live with them until he lost interest or they kicked him out
Recent paper, HYPERsol: High-Quality Data from Archival FFPE Tissue for Clinical Proteomics (Marchione et al.) highlights an optimized protein extraction protocol from FFPE developed using Covaris AFA in combination with ProtiFi S-Trap https://t.co/mDt4nA8TF8 #clinicalproteomics

In my Twitter poll from this week, 70% of those #withaphd working outside of academia said they don't regret leaving.
And I don't either.
You have no idea the impact PhDs are having. The cool stuff they get to do. The world-changing they're doing.

I’m thrilled to announce the publication of the quantitive proteomic profiling of the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia. The @GygiLab in collaboration with colleagues at Novartis and the Broad we measured the proteomes of 375 cell lines from various tumor lineages (1/13)
Very excited to share some of my PhD work in the @ShorterLab
