@abidsensibull Fiber count is only one input for post-natal muscle growth. Hypertrophy potential, myonuclear addition, training, hormones, nutrition etc. drive variance. "muscular" doesn't depend on fiber count alone.
Sleep training does not equal ignoring all signs of distress and cries, nor does it mean withhold all love from your children. You can and should still love them and be there for them while teaching they can and should soothe themselves to sleep at bedtime. And you can still tend to their cries and put them back to bed when the problem has been resolved. The inability to extract value with common sense is the crux of our times.
@CoachDanGo What horrible advice. Rewarding effort with food literally kept the species alive. And building habits with good rewards also builds discipline.
You're right to hate the switch. The change itself is indefensible. You say you're an overly analytical truth seeker, so I encourage you to look up results of switching twice a year in health outcomes (spikes in heart attacks, strokes, and fatal traffic accidents).
The error is preferring permanent DST, which is not circadian-aligned. DST is already linked to higher rates of metabolic disease and mood disorders. Your seasonal depression is triggered by a lack of light, but your body's clock is set by MORNING light, which permanent ST provides. Permanent DST would exacerbate the problem, forcing your body to fight the clock for eight months.
We need to have year-round Standard Time.
