I don't normally share things like this on here, but I also really hate it when billionaires have power to destroy natural environments for their own gain, especially in such important wilderness in #Scotland.

Wonderful time helping out at @Seawilding’s WildSeas Weekend, displaying some of the PhD work happening at Loch Craignish
Great to see people of all ages engrossed in the sounds of seagrass and oyster reefs (and colouring!)
We also managed to squeeze in some sunny fieldwork ☀️
Check out this new education pack on #seagrass!
Includes hands-on science and art activities 🎨💻

Hugeee thank you to these amazing people (and dog🐾) for helping with data collection and providing ample emotional support (alongside working on another exciting seagrass project !)
Had a stunningly sunny couple of weeks of fieldwork on the #Kintyre Peninsula!
We investigated the invertebrate and fish diversity supported by #seagrass, and trialled a new method for monitoring #otters and birds hunting in seagrass
We also tapped into the underwater soundscape, taking some sound recordings to listen for crab crunches and fish grunts… very excited to look at that data!
Thanks to @OpenAcoustics#audiomoths !
Super exciting to see this!!
A while ago I got to help out a little with this beautiful Usborne book - Ecology for Beginners
It’s a real gem. Look at that whale spouting a rainbow… 🌈🐋
Led by the lovely Andy Prentice
#Seagrass restoration in the #FirthofForth is officially underway!
It was such a treat to help inject seeds into the mudflats - now we just have to wait patiently for them to germinate🌱
Huge congrats to the Restoration Forth team who organised this so elegantly 👏
Today is the first ever UN-recognised #WorldSeagrassDay ! 🌱🐟💚
Here's some relaxing footage from my fieldsite on Skye to celebrate - featuring a curious pollock, and lots of lil' two-spot gobies
Thought I'd share some of the footage from my baited camera surveys this summer...
Two curious spiny dogfish in a seagrass meadow in the south of Skye - aren't they cute?!
