The risk with Bitcoin plunging from US$126k to US$63k, and quite possibly much lower (the 2022 nadir was U$S15k) is that there is no natural bottom - since it produces no income, is not an inflation hedge or stable store of wealth (given its hugely capricious volatility), has had no take up as a medium of exchange, and doubts persist about its cryptographic security, Bitcoin could have zero intrinsic value. The best hope is if people in non-democratic states use it as an uber risky savings destination that is possibly beyond the reach of the despots that dominate them…
