The best algorithms remain available for others to examine and improve
New challengers constantly attempt to beat them..
Competition continues.. forever
Now repeat that process across routing.. scheduling.. optimisation.. search.. AI.. cryptography.. scientific computing and eventually potentially thousands of different computational problems

This was a different kind of spaces from John (and Phil) today. An hour on AI safety, of all things.
His words: the safety protocol needs a security budget, and "that's when you get a union of the two protocols." That sounds like he just positioned $TIG as the funding layer for infrastructure that must run at scale forever.
Or to put it this way... what if @tigfoundation was the economic engine that keeps superintelligence honest?
