From concept to reality.
@SpaceX has successfully deployed Starlink V3 satellites into Earth’s orbit and made contact with them for the first time.
At scale, one Starship carries 60 V3 satellites, the same network capacity as about 20 Falcon 9 launches.
@ThomasMaurer Curious.. why would you install the MMA on an Arc enabled server instead of the new Azure Monitor Agent (AMA)? Unless I am mistaken, the MMA (log analytics agent) is set for deprecation later this year, no?
@TheStephLocke@BrentO Sarcasm? If not, I’d feel sorry for that poor soul who would end up spending days trying to figure out all that.. which would have otherwise been just a pivot statement 😂
@georgekosmidis@badamczewski01 I think the fact that there’s no support for double dispatch in the language makes it difficult when the requirement is legit. You could use visitor pattern, jump tables, etc., or just use a switch/if-else; the latter is the fastest from my benchmarking.
@Nick_Craver Makes sense and fully agree this is a very narrow use case. I had to make the best use of what I had here to get my question across while still staying relevant to the premise of this thread. Your replies were helpful!
@Nick_Craver Got it, related question - there are few great “unofficial” contribs from Stack Overflow on nuget- eg. pipelines. Say you were to make this slim version bow down to your perf needs, would there be an unofficial “slim” contrib then?
@Nick_Craver On a separate note, say the “slim” version were to (will) outperform the “ext” version, how would you go about maintaining the slim version on a longer run since it would be a deviation from the extensions version? Or even keep it in sync / the ext one?
