@SwissportBags@AmericanAir I still have NO BAG and NO meaningful communication.
I arrived in Edinburgh on Saturday 8 August, and American’s tracking shows my bag arrived on Sunday 9 August. It is now 13 August and I’m still without my belongings.
I also need clarification on whether American will reimburse the reasonable essential items I’ve had to purchase because of this delay, as your own policy states that reasonable interim expenses for items necessary for immediate use may be compensated.
I shouldn’t have to chase repeatedly for basic information about where my belongings are or whether I can reasonably replace essential items. Please provide an actual update and confirmation of the reimbursement process.
@AmericanAir Yesterday was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. My Orlando to Philadelphia flight was repeatedly delayed due to ATC issues, causing me to miss my connection to Edinburgh. As a result, I’m now missing a family funeral that I can never get back.
What made an already awful situation even worse was the treatment I received from the desk agents in Terminal B. They were dismissive, rude, and showed little empathy despite knowing passengers were missing international connections. Instead of trying to help, I felt like I was an inconvenience.
To make matters worse, there was no clear way to speak to someone or even raise a formal complaint. I was left stranded with minimal communication and had to sort everything out myself.
This has caused me significant emotional distress, unnecessary expense, and a loss that can never be replaced. I expected far better customer service from @AmericanAir. I would appreciate someone contacting me to explain how you intend to address this.
