I kept thinking in Spanish and typing in English, so I built habla.
Hold a hotkey on macOS, say something, and finished text lands in whatever field your cursor is in. No window to switch to, no clipboard.
A prompt you write decides what happens in between, so it can be whatever you need:
• Completely free, uses your installed cli for codex or claude
• translate as you speak
• turn a rambling thought into one clean sentence
• dictate commit messages in the imperative
• fix the words your Mac always mishears

@ForkedPush@ForkedPush may I ask how did you manage to achieve such nice character? I tried to make characters using claude + blender mcp but quite far from those quality assets you have
Your next design system is… Markdown.
We wrote about how 𝙳𝙴𝚂𝙸𝙶𝙽.𝚖𝚍 is helping solve the hardest problem in AI today: slop.
And how you can truly, finally scale design taste within a large organization.
Getting hired at Google: 6 interviews, leetcode hard, system design, 4 months of waiting
Getting a phishing ad approved by Google: did the payment go through
Top result for "google cloud console" right now is a fake "Uniswap" ad impersonating Google's own console. @Google@Uniswap
@offgridding Agreed. The signal was never the low app count, it was people already paying 40 to 100 a month inside a browser tab. That launch chart just tells me how long the window stays open. Not long.
Last week I found the perfect App Store niche. Real buyers already paying $40-100/mo for web SaaS. The category leader hasn't shipped an update since 2020.
Then I checked everyone else's launch dates.
Pre-2024: 2 apps
2025: 3
2026 Q1: 2
2026 Q2: 4
2026 Q3 (5 weeks): 4
Ten competitors this year. Eight of them since April. The entire niche has about 800 reviews. Nobody is winning. Everybody just arrived.
One shipped three days ago at a one-time price, killing the subscription model before anyone had proven it worked.
The macro version of this made the NYT last month. Around 560k new iOS apps in H1 2026, nearly matching all of last year in six months. Downloads up 2%.
But that number hides the actual mechanic. It isn't more noise. Slop doesn't rank.
ASO windows used to last 18 months. Now they last 3.
The eight competent builders who would have found your niche over a year and a half now find it in a quarter, because finding it and shipping it both cost a weekend.
"Low competition" and "the App Store is my only distribution" cancel each other out now. Pick one.

GitHub Actions, Pages and Copilot went down for 10 hours.
Thousands of devs had to run their tests locally like animals. Some even read their own code before shipping it.

Quiet App Store change almost nobody is talking about.
This fall Apple lets you put brand banners in search results and product pages. The Figma templates are already up.
Most devs will discover this on launch day. The ones who ship polished assets on day one get free attention in search.
Indies, this is a head start. Take it.

npm got hit by another supply chain worm today. A package with 127 million weekly downloads, malware that steals your credentials and takes orders from an Ethereum smart contract.
Meanwhile half the industry ships AI generated code nobody reads.
We are speedrunning the security disaster and calling it velocity.

@phuctm97 That´s something Claude already does since long time ago.
Basically with x20 max plan you can go in max opus all day and control your computer as if it was you.
And even you can be in the bed and trigger a "Force Shutdown my computer", and switch it off until next day! haha
@eliana_jordan Let me speak with my boss, will come back to you in a second.

@marclou@marclou If you had to choose to eat a cake and sit in a d*ck or the other way around, sitting in a cake but eating a d*ck, what would you choose and why?
Maslow's pyramid is the cheapest market research tool ever invented.
5 levels of human needs. Every app that makes money sits on one of them:
Physiological: food delivery, sleep trackers. Uber Eats exists because cooking is hard and we know it.
Safety: banking, insurance, VPNs, home cams. Fear prints money.
Belonging: every social network ever built. Loneliness is a trillion dollar market.
Esteem: Duolingo streaks, fitness PRs, LinkedIn badges. We all want the shiny medal.
Self actualization: journaling, meditation, online courses. The "become your best self" aisle of the App Store.
Stuck on ideas? Pick a level, find where people struggle, build the bridge.
Rule of thumb: the lower you go, the bigger the market. The higher you go, the better the margins.
Maslow died in 1970 with zero equity in any of this. Brutal.
@arvidkahl It could be worse. Imagine, on top of that, having your parents or even your grandparents depending on you because they can’t care for themselves.
