Amazing to use the Lunar occultation of Venus as a way to see Venus with the naked eye at approx 1040am here in UK.
Yay I saw it! - as it reappeared to the right lower limb of the moon.
An outstanding atmospheric phenomena (Hengistbury Head in Dorset) 24th Feb at 1630. A halo-refraction type of event (sun setting behind me to west & crepuscular rays). I wonder what our Stone Age Ancestors on Hengistbury would have made of this? @Spicey_Spiney@BBCWthrWatchers
Another stunning conjunction this evening of the planet Jupiter, a crescent Moon and Venus (lower right). Viewed to SW from Bournemouth.
