@DabereNnamani If you’re having trouble signing up for Claude using a Nigerian phone number, here’s a simple fix that works:
Remove the “+” at the beginning of your number.
Enter it in this format instead: 2348XXXXXXXX
Finally
Android just made a smart move. Quick Share now works with Apple’s AirDrop on the Pixel 10, which means sharing files between Android phones and iPhones is now smooth and secure.
Nice one from @Google.
What You Should Know About the 8-Month Road Closure on the Lekki-Ajah Corridor
The Lagos State Government has launched an eight-month rehabilitation of the Lekki-Ajah corridor, beginning 15 November 2025.
While you can still travel toward Lekki/Ajah, expect lane closures, diversions and longer travel times. Plan accordingly.

If you build your life on the gospel of perpetual negativity, don’t be surprised when those same voices quietly open amala joints and businesses in the same Nigeria they told you to hate because they say it cannot work for you (but somehow works for them 🙄), whilst your own life stagnates from listening to them.
Truth is, if you are an entrepreneur or salaried worker, you can easily buy a new car in Nigeria. I have done it in the past and will still do it. Back in 2010, I remember I paid just about 35% more than the cost of a fairly used car to get my first new personal car, the latest Kia Cerato redesign, without even using my bank’s concessionary staff loans (I think they were giving staff loans at 3 or 5%). I used another bank at the prevailing rates simply because I didn’t want to be tied down in the event I decided to make a career move, which I later did a year after.
One reason corruption thrives is an obsession with paying cash down for everything. The smarter play is to use credit responsibly, while building savings, investments, and assets that work for you.
If your need is simply commuting, and not showing off, compact and fuel-efficient new cars (even EVs and hybrids) are available in Nigeria between ₦12–18m (Fact-check me). My friend’s company Nord @nordmotion, for instance, sells an EV at ₦16m. Other local and foreign brands also have entry-level/compact cars within that range.
With a 20–40% down payment and youth/women-focused bank loans at ~17% p.a. over 60 months, you’re looking at ~₦238,600 monthly repayments. A salaried worker earning ₦650k/month can manage that comfortably. I’m fully aware that is above the minimum wage (an argument I’m sure to see) but that’s also why we need to quickly ramp up efficient public transportation systems across the country (light rail, BRTs, CNG Mass transits, etc) as President Bola Tinubu @officialabat is currently supporting states to do (Kaduna, Kano, Ogun, and Lagos have received the greenlight for light rail projects)
Don’t let anyone gaslight you into believing a new car is impossible, or that only luxury SUVs count. In my travels across the world, I see more compact cars on the road than luxury vehicles especially in developed countries.
Please, buy what meets your needs, not their noise. Let them keep opening their amala joints whilst you keep living within your means.
NOTE: your salary/income would most likely not be stagnant for the duration of the loan and some companies even offer trade-ins.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: AMCE ABUJA
Africa just raised the bar in healthcare delivery with the completion and commissioning of the first African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) in Abuja
AMCE Abuja is not just a hospital. It a firm statement of purpose and a symbol of what happens when Africans decide to build for themselves at scale, with precision, and with purpose.
Here’s what you need to know:
WHO’S BEHIND AMCE?
Afrexim Bank .@afreximbank, in partnership with King’s College Hospital London, and with full support from the Government of Nigeria @NigeriaGov.
WHAT IS AMCE?
The African Medical Centre of Excellence in Abuja is a 500-bed quaternary care centre (launching with 170 beds) offering advanced treatment in:
•Oncology
•Haematology
•Cardiovascular medicine
•Surgery & clinical trials
WHY DOES IT MATTER?
Because Nigeria (and indeed, Africa) loses billion in dollars annually to medical tourism. AMCE is purpose-built to reverse that using technology, talent, and trust.
AMCE will also seek to reverse brain-drain as it will mostly be staffed by local healthcare talent and global healthcare talent of African origin
LEADING HEALTHCARE TECH SOLUTIONS:
AMCE Abuja boasts the following and more:
•West Africa’s first 18 MeV Cyclotron
•3 Tesla MRI, PET/SPECT CT, and 256-slice CT
•Africa’s largest stem cell lab
•Linear accelerators, cath labs, and AI-powered diagnostics
AMCE’s HUMAN CAPITAL PLAY:
•3,000+ jobs created
•Medical & Nursing School to train Africa’s future health leaders
•Research, innovation, and clinical excellence, all in one location
AMCE is part of a continent-wide shift, toward healthcare self-reliance, world-class standards, and ownership of our health outcomes in Africa.

Today, I proudly sat and watched our President and my Principal, President Bola Tinubu, commission the completed 30km section of the legacy Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as well as other major projects across the North-West, South-East, North-Central, South-South, North-East, and South-West. He also flagged off tons of new roads across the country. I thought, "All these in just two years, yet some to see?” Many thought it couldn't be done. Many knew it could, but some doubted our resolve and/or capacity.
I couldn't have been more proud when the team at the Ministry of Works/Hitech played the documentary detailing the amount of excavation work (sometimes as deep as 25m), materials mix and landfilling up to 3m, and novel equipment being put towards the 24/7 construction of this concrete pavement super road built to last for a minimum of 50 years.
As someone who benefited from President Tinubu’s legacy in education - I attended the full-boarding Lagos State Model College, Kankon, paying school fees of just N3500 and N6500, with our water supply, electricity, and free SSCE exams. Quick Fact: I barely missed the top spot at Madam First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s Spelling Bee Competition (I bawled my eyes out from Ikeja to Badagry in the school bus at what I believed was unfair treatment. Lol). I can, however, confidently and unashamedly say I have come full circle as I now serve under the man who tamed the ocean surge in Lagos and who I believe is Nigeria’s boldest, most decisive, and strong-willed President ever and who intends to bequeath a lasting legacy of a prosperous Nigeria built on strong foundations and fundamentals. PBAT’s vision is clear, his heart is full of love for his country, and his resolve is unshaken.
I must say that President Tinubu’s work ethic puts even me, who am considered a workaholic, to shame. You keep up or go out. Nigeria will definitely succeed. The investors are back. Sanity has returned. Our respect is gradually returning. Local Problems are being solved with long-term solutions. There is no more kicking the can down the road for anyone else to inherit.
Mat the Almighty bless, strengthen and keep you — he who leads and is destined for great things - The Asiwaju of Nigeria, Jagaban, Dike Si Mba, Aare Ago, Otuekong, Dakari, my boss, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of The Federal Republic of Nigeria - President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR - Focused. Fearless. Far-Sighted!

There are moves that do not need announcements.
There are wins that speak in silence.
& There are kings who keep building while the crowd mocks.
No noise. No validation needed. Just life unfolding, calmly and beautifully.
Congratulations my brother, JJ @omojuwa, and Madam D. Now, let the world adjust. Just know that Baby J’s Uncles and Aunts are more than plenty and we are grateful to have have had the opportunity to share in your joy for weeks.
May your shining star offspring always be covered by the Almighty’s grace, love, and be a blessing to the you, your family, Nigeria, and the world.
Cheers to grace, growth, and the quiet victories that shut every room up.
Cheers, my brother!
I just spoke about some key regulators beginning to play their regulatory roles without executive interference two days ago. See this ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Subscription hike: Court rules in favour of FCCPC in MultiChoice Case
Yesterday, the Abuja Federal High Court shut down MultiChoice’s legal attempt to dodge scrutiny from the FCCPC over its repeated subscription hikes for DStv and GOtv.
The Court didn’t just strike out the suit, it also affirmed the power of Nigeria’s competition commission to investigate exploitative pricing and uphold fairness in the marketplace.
It is now clear, though, that a company cannot raise prices at will, defy regulatory invitations, and then weaponise court processes to avoid questions, not under this administration.
This ruling sends a strong signal that Nigerian consumers have a government that will ask hard questions on their behalf and won’t blink first in the face of monopolistic sharp practices.
The law is clear. The mandate is clear. The time of unregulated corporate action is over.
Power to the Consumers.

A new era demands a new conversation.
Today at the #NewMediaExchange, we took one giant step toward a Nigeria where policy meets technology and leadership meets innovation.
I was honoured to speak alongside other young leaders, and I couldn't have been prouder standing in that room with hundreds of young people diligently building the Nigeria of tomorrow in their special ways.
Thank you, our Honourable Speaker of the People’s House, Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbas, GCON @Speaker_Abbas, for your foresight in hosting this important roundtable and opening the doors of the National Assembly to us. Thank you for this critical step in acknowledging the role of the 70% (our outstanding Nigerian youth) and digital innovation in national development. You again showed that this administration - the executive and legislative branches- is willing to listen to young people, open to constructive dialogue and engagement, and keenly interested in digital innovation's role in shaping governance, legislation, and leadership for a new Nigeria.
I am particularly glad to have met youth from various social, political, regional, and other diverse backgrounds, as well as our young members in the House of Reps, who came together to say with one voice that, “Nigeria needs us all, working together in one accord, for the future we want.”
To my brother @LegendaryJoe and the team of people who made this possible, WELL DONE! I do wish I could acknowledge every one of you personally. Thank you, still.
Remember, the future is connected, and we are the drivers of that future. Nigeria will succeed.

If you believe so and remain cynical, that is a personal choice. However, just so you are better informed, here are seven facts about our debt stock and our dear country’s path to progress under President Bola Tinubu @officialABAT :
1. Nigeria’s Debt Stock (External + Domestic of FGN, the 36states and the FCT) is down from $108.2bn to $94.2bn as of Dec 31, 2024
2. Cleared all verified FX backlog of about $7bn
3. Despite dutifully paying off the backlog and reducing our total debt stock through consistent payments to creditors, Nigeria’s gross external reserves still grew to approximately $40.9 billion at the end of 2024, significantly higher than $33.0 billion recorded in 2023. Net external reserves amounted to $23.3 billion, a 482.5% improvement from about $4.0 billion in 2023.
4.Nigeria achieved a Balance of Payments (BOP) surplus of $6.83 billion in 2024, a significant turnaround from deficits of $3.34 billion in 2023 and $3.32 billion in 2022, reflecting stronger trade performance and increased investor confidence.
5.Our Non-oil exports also increased by 24.6% to $7.46 billion, while gas exports surged by 48.3% to $8.66 billion, boosting our overall trade surplus.
6.Portfolio investment inflows, a sign of rising investor confidence in a country, more than doubled, increasing by 106.5% to $13.35 billion in 2024. Renewed investor confidence in Nigeria is driven by President Bola Tinubu’s bold macroeconomic reforms.
7.And our people in the diaspora showed up, too. Personal remittances from Nigerians abroad grew by 8.9% to reach $20.93 billion, complemented by a 43.5% rise in inflows via International Money Transfer Operators (IMTOs) to $4.73 billion, demonstrating increased trust from the diaspora in our economy. Thank you, dear Nigerians in the diaspora, for believing in your country.
These are just 7 for now, and I'll keep shouting these to the high heavens regardless of any cynicism anyone has for our great Nation, Nigeria. Prudent management, optimisation, and deployment of resources is what you get when you elect a President who understands finance and accounting and has done actual work along these lines with major corporations in the world. This is who our President Bola Tinubu is—educated, focused, knowledgeable, and a Strategic Thinker & Planner.
‘Our Asiwaju’, ‘The Jagaban’, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not ‘someone who gets governance and financial management advice from a mentally impaired person living under a bridge’ like a particular critic who ran for office does (not my words but the critic’s). What I mean is, #FollowWhoKnowRoad, knows the work that needs to be done, and ‘knows book’.
