905 days since the 9th Joint Note.
997 days since the December 2023 understanding when 5 Day Banking Promise was agreed in written.
Digital payments are 99.7% of transaction volume. Cheques, 2.3% of value. RBI, LIC & GIC already work five days.And Bankers offered 40 extra minutes a weekday for it. Despite everything they failed to keep the promise. A signed commitment is not a suggestion but an obligation.
Read the revised PLI matrix carefully.
In EVERY scenario — even where the Bank scores above 80% and performed magnificently — the bottom bracket receives Rs 0.
Not a reduced award. Zero!
1 in 5 officers, every year, labelled as zero contributor.
Not an incentive, a backfired initiative. We demand #5DayWeekandFairPLI
An agreement must be honoured. A reward system must be fair.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The 5 Day Work Week for bank employees was agreed in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. Its implementation cannot remain pending indefinitely.
At the same time, a unilateral and discriminatory PLI framework that divides the workforce must give way to a fair, transparent and inclusive system for all employees.
Every achievement of our banks is the outcome of collective effort.
Recognition too must reflect that collective contribution.
We seek no privilege, only implementation of an agreed commitment, equality in reward and dignity at work.
@PMOIndia
India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.
@PMOIndia
Adequate recruitment? Banks run on skeleton staff while officers do the work of five.
5-day banking: The world moves forward, but PSB officers still work like it’s the 1980s. Banking professionals or bonded labor?
Residual issues with IBA: Better policies take years to be negotiated/implemented, but new policies against officers come overnight.

Today, November 6th, marks a historic milestone – the 60th Foundation Day of our beloved organization, the Federation of Bank of India Officers' Association, which stands as a pillar of strength in India’s Banking trade union movement. Since 1965, FBOIOA has been more than just a union; it has been a collective force dedicated to the principles of unity, courage, and unwavering commitment to the welfare and dignity of bank officers across the country.
Guided by the core tenets of trade unionism—solidarity, collective strength, and an unbreakable spirit of togetherness— *Our organization has fought countless battles to protect the rights and advance the interests of our officers*. *Through these values, FBOIOA has forged a path of progress, making Bank of India a stronger institution and empowering each one of us as individuals*.
Today, as we celebrate this legacy, we bow our heads to the visionary leaders who laid each brick of this foundation with relentless dedication, and let us take inspiration from their strength. Their work was not for themselves, but for all of us, for our collective future, and for the next generation. The torch they lit now burns in our hands, and it is our responsibility to carry it forward.
Let us pledge anew to uphold our unity as our greatest strength. In times of challenge, it is our solidarity that enables us to stand tall against any adversity. Together, we will keep the FBOIOA flag flying high, through storms and sunshine alike, driven by the courage, commitment, and collective will that has always defined us. With this unity, there is no obstacle we cannot overcome, no dream we cannot achieve.
Let us honor every contribution, large or small, that has strengthened this organization. Together, we are the mighty pillar that holds up the banking trade union movement today. May FBOIOA live long, and may our collective spirit continue to inspire all.

Recently Bank management approved her home town request for transfer on 6th April to hometown. It is set back and a great loss to us. We request the concerned media to re-examine.

When you’re gone, would you rather have your gravestone say, ‘He never missed a meeting’? Or one that said, ‘He was a great Son/Daughter/Spouse/Father/Mother/Individual'.

"The upshot is that the key to effective leadership in the office might be a better work-life balance." This fact is revealed by scientists from the University of Florida and Arizona on April 6 in the Journal of Applied Psychology.

Public Sector Banks are overburdened with number of customers per Branch or Staff.
Still their employees are delivering 100% service to customers with smile and limited resources & challenging environments.
