Today, a representation from AIMSA-FMSW and AFA was submitted to the Himachal Pradesh Medical Council regarding the non-compliance of the National Medical Commission (NMC) Notice dated 18 March 2026.
It has been observed that the Himachal Pradesh Medical Council is arbitrarily applying its own interpretation of internship regulations, which is contrary to the guidelines and clarifications issued by the NMC. In this regard, our association has formally requested the Council to strictly abide by the NMC’s directions, including the FAQ released on 8 June 2026.
The NMC has clearly clarified that all Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) who have compensated for their online classes, irrespective of the duration of such compensation, are eligible for only one year of internship. The same position has been reiterated through various clarifications issued by the NMC to different State Medical Councils.
AIMSA-FMSW and AFA have urged the Himachal Pradesh Medical Council not to misguide, harass, or subject FMGs to unnecessary hardship by imposing requirements beyond those prescribed by the NMC. We have demanded that all eligible FMGs be granted one year of internship and subsequently be provided permanent registration in accordance with the prevailing NMC guidelines.
We remain committed to safeguarding the rights of FMGs and ensuring uniform implementation of NMC regulations across all states. @nhmhimachalp@BJP4Himachal@medicaldialogs@AHindinews@aimsa_fmsw@drugsdose
🚨 Junior Doctor Kidnapped?
A Junior Resident Doctor was allegedly picked up from his private residence in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, by individuals in civil clothes believed to be police personnel, reportedly without any warrant, formal identification, or disclosure of grounds for detention.
Family members who sought information about his whereabouts were allegedly intimidated and manhandled.
If true, this represents a gross violation of fundamental human rights, personal liberty, and due process.
In protest, doctors at SRN Medical College, Prayagraj, have gone on a complete strike. The medical fraternity has warned that protests across Uttar Pradesh will intensify if the doctor is not safely produced and his legal status immediately clarified.

Dr Mohsin Ali is still not traceable after he was taken into police custody
It’s a shame for all of us as doctors that we can’t help our fellow doctor

50 officially allotted FMG interns at ESIC Medical College Indore (@ESICMCIndore) are being denied admission despite MPMC & NMC approval. Students have travelled repeatedly between Indore & Bhopal for over a week, yet no admissions granted. Now ESIC Indore says they await HQ permission while the last date is 28 May.
Students were even warned they may be forced to sign affidavits surrendering stipend rights.
Why this discrimination against FMGs despite Supreme Court & NMC directions? We are Indian citizens too.
Urgent intervention needed from ESIC HQ before 50 students lose their academic year.

What is happening in “MLN medical college in Prayagraj” questions the Law and Order situation of our country .
The situation is so bad it reminded me of the RG Kar mob Vandalism incident .
A female resident doctor was brutally attacked, Hospital vandalised by a mob after a dispute broke out between lawyers and doctors at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital over a patient treatment
After this the mob gathered around the hospital to attack the on duty doctors with various social media posts threatening the doctors of consequences being shared
What’s shameful is that it is happening in Uttar Pradesh of @myogiadityanath ji and their police is just acting as spectators rather than taking any action
The principal of college is receiving threat calls from some lawyers to take action against their own doctors who are just doing their duty and are victim here
Not only doctors security is jeopardised here but females security is broken to the level that they have to beg for their safety in a video .
The services are shut in the hospital unless the safety is assured and immediate measures are requested from @myogioffice .
Once again, examination cancellation due to paper leaks has affected millions of students. We demand a fair investigation and immediate re-conduct of the exam to protect students’ future. Accountability and transparency are the need of the hour.

Finally, stipend approved for Foreign Medical Graduates from Jharkhand!
Congratulations to Team AIMSA-FMSW for relentless follow-up with authorities.
We sincerely thank the Government of Jharkhand @HemantSorenJMM Ji and @IrfanAnsariMLA Ji for allocating stipend support to FMGs.
FMGs have compensated for the online mode of education, with the same notarised by their universities and respective governments.
Final year studies were completed offline with internship at the university/college.

All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA) writes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"We respectfully seek your immediate and urgent intervention concerning the safety and well-being of Indian medical students currently stranded in Bangladesh," reads the letter
Letter to PM @narendramodi by All India Medical Students’ Association on safety concerns of Indian Medical Students in Bangladesh. Requesting intervention by Government of India.
A 19-year-old Indian MBBS student, Nida Khan from Rajasthan’s Jhalawar, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in her Dhaka hostel, Bangladesh. Upon talking with FMGs there they allege she faced repeated academic harassment, including unfair vivas and public humiliation by teachers.
On September 27, after being verbally abused in front of classmates, Nida locked herself in her hostel room. Later that night, she was found partially hanging from a fan. Her tragic death has sparked concerns about the mental health and safety of MBBS students.
We want #JusticeForNida and immediate support from @ihcdhaka@DrSJaishankar .
