Dr Julius Kipngetich advises men to outsmart their ever rising women.
Men are facing imense pressure from rising women in the society. Kipngetich has the following advice to men:
1. Increase knowledge by reading a book every week
2. On personal finance, save money and stop overspending in huge SUVs, emulate Chinese minimalist expenditure.
3. Generate more income by having more than one income source since women are earning more than men nowadays.
4. Farming maize when you're in Nairobi doesn't make economic sense. Invest in money market, bonds and treasury bills instead.
5. Don't overspend on relatives instead encourage them to develop their own revenue generating avenues.
6. Always be present, don't stay in pubs until 12AM. Kipngetich personallly gets home by 8pm daily.
7. Learn at least one sports activity, language and music instrument. For example, learn darts or chess or football, local languages such as Kikuyu, Luo or Kalenjin and perfect one music instrument like guitar or piano.
8. Go to church every Sunday, build your relationship with God.
The core of the matter is: keep rising as a man. Don't stagnate.
Observation about wealthy people:
I once worked closely with someone very wealthy, and what stood out wasn’t their lifestyle it was their restraint.
If their coffee came wrong, they didn’t send it back three times. They just drank it. If a flight was delayed, they didn’t rant at the gate agent. They opened a book.
There was this quiet understanding that not everything deserves a reaction.
While everyone else around them treated minor inconveniences like personal attacks, they treated them like background noise. Temporary. Not worth the spike in heart rate.
It didn’t feel like indifference. It felt like perspective.
They weren’t rushing to win every tiny battle. They weren’t trying to control what couldn’t be controlled.
And I realized it wasn’t really about the money fixing things.
It was about security.
When you’re not constantly in survival mode, you don’t need to fight every inconvenience like it’s a threat. You can afford emotionally to let things slide.
And that might be the real luxury.
BASIC RULES FOR MEN:
1) Don't use the urinal next to an occupied one.
2) Always return tools where you found them.
3) Don't talk during the game's final moments.
4) If you borrow something, return it clean.
5) A firm handshake NO limp fingers.
6) Don't sit in another man's usual seat.
7) If someone offers food once, decline once. Accept the second time.
8) Don't check your phone while someone is talking to you.
9) If you break it, you replace it.
10) Leave places better than you found them.
Boss: “You arrived 10 minutes late.”
Employee: “Yesterday I stayed late finishing that last-minute report.”
Boss: “I understand… but rules are rules.”
The next day, the employee arrived exactly on time.
And at 6:00 p.m. sharp, shut down the computer.
No extra emails. No work taken home.
If punctuality is non-negotiable, then effort must have boundaries too.
Recognition cannot be one-sided.
When mistakes are highlighted but dedication is ignored, the real message becomes clear:
“Do only what’s required. Nothing more.”
Empathy costs nothing.
The absence of it? That can cost you everything—especially your best people.
Yesterday, my father blocked the WiFi before the dinner party.
He’s sixty-nine.
Barely knows how to change the password himself.
But he did it anyway.
When I asked why, he said:
“Because,” he said, “I don’t have that many dinners left. And I’ll be damned if I spend them watching people scroll.”
I didn’t know what to say to that.
“Watch what happens.” He added.
I just watched.
My sister’s husband, who usually hides in his phone, asked my uncle about his new business.
My cousin put her phone down and actually played with the kids.
My mom told the story about how my parents met.
we’ve heard it a million times, but for some reason, without the distraction, I heard it differently.
Noticed details I’d missed.
The way my father still looks at her when she tells it.
My aunt shared our childhood memories.
We even played dumb charades and Pictionary.
After dinner, my cousins’s 8 year old asked if we could do this every week.
My father just smiled.
“WiFi might be broken for a while,” he said.
It wasn’t a punishment.
It was a gift disguised as an inconvenience.
I fly out tomorrow morning for a business trip.
My CEO asked me, "Can you finish the Q4 budget reconciliation on the flight? It’s a 8-hour trip, perfect time to focus."
I looked at him with genuine horror.
I said, "Are you asking me to access proprietary financial data on a public transport infrastructure?"
I listed the threat vectors:
- Airport Wi-Fi (Man-in-the-Middle attacks).
- Airplane Wi-Fi (Unencrypted packet sniffing).
- Visual Hacking (The guy in 14B looking at my screen).
I told him, "For the safety of the organization, I must initiate a Total Digital Lockdown from the moment I leave my driveway until I am behind the hotel firewall."
He looked at me and said, "You gotta be kidding me. I work on the plane all the time."
I didn't blink.
I said, "I know. And that is why I don't sleep."
I walked away before he could argue.
So, for the next 24 hours, I am effectively "air-gapped."
In reality, I just downloaded three seasons of The Office to my iPad and I plan to drink three mini-bottles of gin.
I could use a VPN. I could use a privacy screen.
But then I'd have to do work stuff.
I'm not lazy. I'm the first line of defense.
Hired an employee
He started off great for 18 months
Then asked to miss work for a day
Said his "sister was getting married" and he needed to cut out at noon on Friday
Uh, sure dude. We've all tried that excuse before.
I denied his PTO request.
A few months later, he found a new job and left.
I was relieved.
Dodge a major bullet there. No doubt he was about to request another day off for a "grandparent's funeral" within a year or two.
Incoming US President Donald Trump to ban gender-affirming care for minors nationwide, stating that the U.S. government will only recognize two genders—male and female—and that these will be assigned strictly at birth.
Hello Kenyans,
The person who's been posting on my account has/had my unreserved permission and that of my Family
Your mistrust is justified, the skepticism is valid given we are dealing with a fiendish regime that knows no bounds
I however assure you, they got me but not my account. We are not as daft as they presume us to be and the first thing my aide does when I emergency dial, or is unreachable, is to change our passwords
This not only protects this account but also my sources for it goes without saying, devoid of them, there's no 'Tea.'
Babu knows of this aide, has met them in person too. I comprehend your misgivings on politicians, Lord knows I've had my extreme share of unpalatable experiences with them,
Albeit, take it from me, Ongili is a trusted friend who has proven his camaraderie interminably through bloom and gloom
He would not embrace silence if he had not confirmed I am currently in the care of family or (Heavens forbid), unauthorized person accessed my X
How am I?
Alive... Thanks to God. And You!
Your clamor, fervor, noise, agitation and prayers kept air in my lungs and blood in my heart. Asante for every tweet, retweet, call, concern, msg and voice that spoke out for me
The flesh is indisposed, thanks to their "hata sisi tunajua kusalimiana." Grateful that I am getting adequate care
The spirit remains sound, the resolve is bolstered, rather than punctured, for no amount of spittle can quench a furnace
What happened? I will tell you, oh I will expose every minute detail, every crumb... But we will converse more dear friends when I get better.
The darker the night, the brighter the stars. Traumatized as I be, I choose not to grope and wallow in the dark, when I can marvel at what's yonder
As for that man at State House and the incompetent, incorrigible, deplorable, diabolic, killer regime he presides over
May he be cursed to generations unborn. And anyone who gets their hands dirty and bloody for him too, whether politicians or police,
May they be visited by plagues that money cannot solve in the land of the living
I Thank you.
Attention LGBTQI community!
You are gay, not disabled. No one owes you any special treatment.
We don't give a flying fvck about you. We don't even like you😂
The laws of Kenya don't allow anyone to write what the president is saying. The people of Kisii & Nyamira need to respect President William Ruto❗️Who is this old woman to record the promises of Ruto?
But Hanifa is a strong lady. Kuenda morgue, kulipa bills, kutembelea families, kutokea streets, kuconfirm majina kama wasee ni scammers ama ni real, kujificha asishikwe. Aaai. I truly Stan her.
#RutoMustGo
Nobody in Government has RESIGNED or even said SORRY.
- Or even come out to say, "OK, we have heard you. Listen to us, too."
NONE.
No compassion. No empathy. No remorse. No self-reflection.
