Am I alone in thinking it is wrong for consultants to strike? Nurses, paramedics, junior doctors, yes, they are just ‘workers’ but consultants are senior leaders, just like senior managers. They demean themselves by striking.

I went to state school then got a BTEC foundation degree in art at college also.

Oxbridge gets hammered in the media every year. What gets missed is that access and private school domination is far, FAR worse at the next tranche of top universities, like Durham, Edinburgh, Imperial etc - who make much less effort to attract state school kids than Oxbridge
