At SMA, we believe in healthy conflict! That way we achieve commitment to any decision we make and all other options/opinions have been fully vetted. This is another example of that concept. #SMAWay
Today I announced new legislation, #SB855, to require insurance companies to cover *all* medically necessary mental health/addiction care, not just when a person is in crisis going to the ER. We must help people *before* they’re in crisis & insurance companies aren’t doing that.
Thank you Courtney for your leadership here in Volusia and Flagler County! Your advocacy in DC is so important to what we are doing locally. Thanks for representing!
What a great time meeting with Caitriona Rafferty, Health and Education Legislative Assistant to @RepMichaelWaltz at the Capitol today! Thank you and we look forward to working together! #LiveUnited#UWAdvocate#MoveTheFence#UWNewCEOs
With so many dying from overdoses in Florida, this program is literally saving lives! So proud of everyone on our staff who are caring for those in desperate times.
#FunFactFriday The MAT program was implemented in response to the Opioid Crisis and is designed to assist clients in their substance use recovery by providing a combination of medication assistance and integrated therapy. @ASAMorg@samhsagov @Floridabha1
I’m honored to be a member of #BlueFamily Just wanted to take a moment this evening to wish my #BlueFamiy a happy Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Stay safe and know that I got your six
@BetterWFetter@SaraSClements Glad to hear that everything turned out OK. It is so sad to see our kids have to live in this kind of an environment. I can only pray that things will get back to a better place some day.
RJ2 and Jennifer are amazing individuals who live #theSMAWay! Their ability to share their knowledge with our new teammates is inspiring and makes us all proud to be a part of the team.
Our training department — led by Training Manager Ronald Jackson II (aka Dr. J) and Training Coordinator Jennifer Caine — does an excellent job preparing our staff so they can provide the best service to the clients and get them care that they need. #theSMAWay#transforminglives
We have a bevy of subject matter experts at SMA. What a great way to share our knowledge with the public, all in an effort to make a difference in the communities we serve! So proud to be a part of this awesome team. #theSMAWay
In Aug., we established a #blog to provide the community with the information and knowledge that rests with our team here at SMA. The blog will return to normal programming next week, but you can catch up on all of the posts here. #theSMAWay#content

I am so lucky to have a job that I love and teammates who work by my side who are so committed to making a difference! Looking forward to seeing more #FacesofSMA and the incredible work they do everyday in the coming new year!
THREAD: Earlier this year, we started a new social media series (on Facebook and Instagram) titled #FacesofSMA. This was started so we could bring to light the remarkable work that our staff does, every day, to help transform lives in the community. (1)
Here's a great article about positivity that I had to share. Stressing the importance of "sitting in your feelings". It's OK to feel melancholy.

These gentlemen are a reason I continue to love my profession! Mark and Chet have had an incredible amount of influence on our work in behavioral health. They continue to influence to this day, despite their retirements. #SMAway. Thanks @Floridabha1 for an awesome conference!
@SMAHealthcare we believe in healthy conflict. It draws out the best in everyone of us and when it comes time to commit to a direction, we can say "we are all on the same page". No need for false harmony, we need the true perspectives from everyone. #SMAway
While traveling in West Virginia 2 weeks ago, I ran into a man named Ernie Veccio who was riding a bike over a bridge. I flagged him down to ask about a bike trail and learned about his mission. It really inspired me on so many levels ! https://t.co/n1dKKKHPPo.
If you have trust in your team, like we do @SMAHealthcare you can practice healthy conflict to achieve that commitment that is needed to move forward. So grateful to the team here! #SMAway Seeking excellence everyday! #Hope#Healing
