Senior Biden admin officials said they’ve expanded Remain in Mexico to San Diego-Tijuana today. The first immigrants to be enrolled in SD for MPP 2.0 were expected to be returned to Mexico at the San Ysidro POE “shortly.” No info on how many were enrolled in SD was provided.
In El Paso, 36 immigrants and asylum-seekers attended their first MPP hearings today. This is the first group of immigrants to attend Remain in Mexico hearings under the Biden administration’s relaunched and expanded MPP.
