🚨 OFFICIAL: Real Madrid statement deny any agreement on personal terms with Michael Olise, pointing at relationship with FC Bayern.
“In response to reports in various media outlets regarding an alleged interest from our club in Bayern Munich player Michael Olise, Real Madrid CF wishes to state that it has not had any direct or indirect contact with the aforementioned player, his representatives, or anyone in his entourage.
Real Madrid also wishes to highlight the excellent institutional relationship it maintains with Bayern Munich, with whom it shares a long history of mutual respect, collaboration and admiration, and regrets the spread of speculation that does not correspond to reality.
Both clubs have always maintained a relationship based on trust and mutual respect, which is reflected, among other aspects, in the shared conviction that any potential interest in a player belonging to the other club must be dealt with first between the entities themselves, in accordance with the principles of institutional loyalty that have historically governed the relations between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid”.
I think it will be huge mistake if gakpo is to be sold.
Man is doing quite well in the world cup, and could still be a huge asset to LFC.
But if he wants to leave, then it cant be helped
Losing so many first teamers that won the lot may be a blessing in disguise.
Especially those who are close to Jota.
Tactics and characters in the team needs to change.
Can slot change and provide new motivation? Only time will tell.
🏆🏴 Aston Villa have won the Europa League!
This means, AFC Bournemouth are a step closer to the UEFA Champions League!
This is what needs to happen on the final day of the Premier League season for Bournemouth to qualify!
1️⃣ Bournemouth need to finish 6th, a draw against Nottingham Forest will do.
2️⃣ Aston Villa need to lose at Manchester City!
3️⃣ Liverpool need to beat Brentford therefore pushing Aston Villa down to 5th.
If those three things happen, the Champions League beckons for Bournemouth!
Slot's offence is that he is not Klopp. There is no other Jurgen. Simeone's energy is closest, but there' a language barrier.
XA is on his way to Chelsea, and Slot will be given time to redeem himself. Like it or not, I think we have to suck it up and just hope for the best.
There's really no further need for more divisions. The current situation is already a circus, and are we happy about it? If supporters in Merseyside are not all out in arms to demand changes, how will us from the rest of the world really affect change?
Said it before, will say it again.
We as supporters, have to back the team, no matter what happens.
Decisions were made, something which is out of all our control, so whatever will be, will be.
I see Salah's post as a last ditch battle cry. Some will see something else..
I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.
Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.
Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.
Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.
As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.
@GooalMouth I think a lot of people have been harsh on konate.
He has been quite good since he signed for us, bar this season.
Man lost his dad and also had to deal with jota's death.
I would cut him some slack.
LFC, either with slot or new manager, needs to improve players' fitness, bring back intensity to play, sell the deadwoods and fill the necessary vacancies with no more square pegs in round holes.
@PGMOL_FA pickford has history of lunging at opposing players whether it is deliberate or not without considering it could cause injuries.
Van dijk (2020), maguire (2020), malo gusto (2024), darwin (2022).
Have some balls to send him off.
@TheAthleticFC@adjones_journo As someone from Malaysia, this feat is nothing.
Not to diminish him. But frankly, JDT in the Malaysian football league is like Man City playing in the EFL championship.
The only benchmark to judge JDT now is how they fair against other big Asian teams.
By your logic..
The old guards should be offered contracts until they retire?
They are to continue playing week in and out into their late 30s until they can no longer cope?
The players dont a get a say that they wish to leave?
Feels like you are meaning this.
I called it weeks ago, everyone is jumping off a sinking ship!
What the fuck is going on at our football club? Since Klopp left, we’re rotting from the inside out. How the fuck have Slot, Edwards, and Hughes let Trent, Robertson, and Mo Salah all walk away for nothing? And now we’re hearing noise that Curtis Jones and Alisson want out too.
Just those three,Salah, Robbo, and Trent all leaving on frees (or next to nothing) is easily £200m–£250m straight down the drain. That’s criminal levels of mismanagement by those three clowns.
How are FSG just sitting back letting this happen? It’s blindingly obvious what’s going wrong with Slot, Hughes, and Edwards, yet the owners are happy to sit there lining their pockets while the club falls apart. Sort this fucking mess out!
#LFC
And if the players can read this, i just wish they can still turn things around, as there are still things to play for.
Feeling sorry will not get you anything.
Play like you mean it.
LFC has come back before. AC Milan, Barcelona, Dortmund.
Just fight. Like Spartans.
YNWA
Some thoughts that been on my mind.
Slot's tenure is untenable.
If he leaves, people expect Xabi to take over.
As mentioned by some folk, Anfield thrives on emotion and energy, ala Klopp.
Slot is not Klopp.
Is Xabi like Klopp? Doubt so.
So is Xabi the right man? If not, who?
The team has been quite unlucky with injuries.
And in a seaon of rebuild, club has on hindsight failed to replace some players.
When results are not coming, morale and confidences go to shite.
It's hard to come back strongly when everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.
