You are bored because you are not doing side quests.
Life is not just work and lying in bed doing nothing.
Here are 50 side quests every man should complete:
Game theory advice:
Whenever you plan something grand, do not start planning from the beginning (t=0). Start at the end, at the final state you wish to reach. From there, you will now go backwards. Constantly ask yourself, "What do I need to do to get there?" and break the large goal down into smaller steps. This method is called backward induction, and it works particularly well when you lack direction. You will be able to work toward your goals with unmatched clarity.
The older I get, the more I realize it’s perfectly ok to tell nobody what’s coming for you. Disappear for a few years and come back crushing it. Don’t say a word to anyone about plans or progress. Grow in silence. Work without validation. Normalize the silent rise. It’s special.
Sourround yourself with people who make you believe in a bigger version of yourself, not force you to adopt a smaller version of yourself to accommodate their smaller version of themselves.
Habits with a high rate of return:
1. Sleeping 8+ hours a day
2. Lifting weights 3x a week
3. Reading for 30 minutes/day
4. Saying no to good opportunities
5. Investing 20% of what you earn
6. Writing 3 priorities every evening
7. Focusing on high-impact actions
The older I get, the more I realize adaptability is the highest form of intelligence. Knowledge matters, but the ability to learn, unlearn, and change course matters more. The rigid cling to what was. The adaptable adjust to what is and what will be. The future belongs to them.
Changing habits:
Pick one thing. Cultivate a desire. Visualize it.
Plan a sustainable path.
Identify needs, triggers, & substitutes.
Tell your friends.
Track meticulously.
Self-discipline is a bridge to a new self-image.
Bake in the new self-image. It’s who you are, now.

I've become fully convinced that the only way out of the doom loop is that people have to become absolutely obsessed with an idea that they think can realistically move the needle in a positive direction and they have to be borderline insane in their drive to make it happen
Self confidence comes from self competence & self competence comes from relentlessly executing the reps that move you towards your goals.
The more reps you put in, the less frightening it feels until eventually you get to a point where it's automatic
A state we should all strive for.
Real talk: Nothing about success feels successful while you're building it.
You'll feel behind.
You'll doubt yourself daily.
You'll want to quit.
But the truth is, every winner felt this way. You're in good company.
You're going to look lame, stupid, cringe, not cool. This is not something you avoid. It is a fixed cost of success. It's the first test you have to pass to get what you want. You need to want what you want more than you care about other people think about what you want or how you get it. You have to learn to trade their approval for your own.
