@docoho Big Finish also brought comic companion Frobisher to life in one of the funniest Doctor Who stories, The Holy Terror. Having Colin play off of that character was a delight. Finally, The Last Adventure gave the Sixth Doctor a conclusion far more exciting than McCoy in a wig!

@docoho Vengeance on Varos is my favourite televised Sixth Doctor story, but it really was Big Finish that made me appreciate Colin's take on the role. A big part of that was pairing him with a mature, intelligent companion: Evelyn Smythe, played by the superb Maggie Stables.

@jayexci2 Your ratings are very similar to my own, though I have long enjoyed The Stones of Venice more than most. I bump it up half a star simply because of Michael Sheard, who appeared in every decade of classic Who. It was a delight for me to have him usher in the Eighth Doctor.

@bigfinish I wish these things were clearly announced ahead of time. I would have downloaded recent purchases to my hard drive if I had any idea I wouldn't have access to them during this downtime. Also, many items I have already purchased or pre-ordered now show up with a price tag.

@AMadmanNotABox First I'm hearing of this news, as it does not appear to have been officially announced anywhere. Justin was one of the big names to become synonymous with the Doctor Who Expanded Universe for me. His contributions to the Jago & Litefoot audio series alone were phenomenal. RIP

@TheMightyPting I agree. This is the first new TARDIS team that I just have no opinion of or interest in, so far. I almost feel that it's generic or formulaic on purpose. Perhaps there is some special twist or wrinkle yet revealed that will make this group/series stand out?

@TheMightyPting Without a doubt, Rutans vs Sontarans: Betrayal at the House of Sontar. John Dorney has done it again! Adding breadth and depth to the Fugitive Doctor, the Division, and the Rutan/Sontaran conflict in one fell swoop.

I enjoyed this release. The first story is excellent, the remaining two are solid, but not quite on the same level, I'd say.

@jadexskywalker Carley is excellent, but Tim Treloar tugs at the heartstrings in a way that can't be quantified.

@jadexskywalker A very difficult choice, but it was the Sixth Doctor's run with Evelyn Smythe that originally won me over, and Colin Baker is still giving it his all.
